Into Zul'Aman...

The eve was beautiful one. The sun was gaining an orange hue as it descended from the sky. The glow it cast was equally as beautiful. Red and purples were now over taking any of the remaining blue colors of the daylight. Things had been incredibly busy for her guild mates, that’s at least what Tasera had figured as the days went past. There was little talk about the previous attacks. They had gotten Leo back successfully, then all seemed to get quiet, as many, especially Theotaz, began to seek out methods on how to infiltrate the alliance.
Tasera seemed to be removed from all that had been happening, or at least removed from all the most recent events. She seemed to be spending most of her days fixing and preparing for her many stabled beasts, or even more so, curiously exploring the realm of Zul’Aman. A fascination had grasped her with the proud troll kingdom. Though it was not like her presence ever went unnoticed. She stuck out like a sore thumb around the fierce and bloodthirsty forest trolls. Not only was their garb far more primitive then the mail armors she adorned, but their stature made Tasera look almost human sized in comparison. These forest dwelling trolls were massive, not skinny and lanky like Tasera’s jungle troll relatives. They had no problem throwing their weight around when they spotted the little jungle troll invading their territory. Lucky Tasera, not only was she more experienced, but her bullets made short work of any attacker from a distance.
One day of these explorations, Tasera found herself going deeper into the ruins slinking around like a feline, to try her best to avoid any notice. Then, something caught her attention. On the ground was an Amani forest troll, his body gruesomely sliced and diced from a well-honed sword. She investigated the body further, as well as the powerful hound behind her. Despara growled and looked at Tasera as her curiosity got the better of her, and she continued forward. With her polearm in hand Tasera pressed on, noticing more troll bodies littering the ground at her feet.
A light with movement caught her attention up ahead, her heart began to race. She stopped for a moment, then peered out through the bushes. An alliance encampment? She sneered and began to ready her gun, she may not have befriended the Amani, in any way shape or form, she rather see Amani killed by fellow trolls over the foolish alliance. But just then another sight caught her keen eyes, over the wide expanse she saw an orc, then two..then three. A few darkspears mixed in the bunch as well. Curiosity soon got the better of Tasera and the female troll moved out of the bushes. Her eyes opening wide with what she saw.
“Da gates ta Zul’Aman…†Her eyes almost seemed to sparkle as she looked at the towering entrance to the grand, an ancient troll city. But why, why would the horde, and alliance be so interested in such a place? Moving forward through the alliance and strait towards the gates, the huntress eagerly wanted to get a peak inside, but as she immediately began to walk in, a powerful hand stopped her by the shoulder. Turning around she saw a powerful orc looking her dead in the eye, “I wouldn’t do that if I were you†his voice stern.
“Why?..Wait wait…†Tasera turned to face him, “Whats wit all dese people here. Why are da alliance on dese troll grounds?†she asked, with a furious fire in her eye.
The orc turned and spit to the side before looking back up at her, “There has been an increase in hostilities lately, little Troll. Not only between the Amani and Alliance, but the Amani and us. They have been sending parties out to attack both Horde and Alliance. These attacks are organized. Something has changed with the forest Trolls, they used to be so disorganized and unsure about everything, but suddenly, something seems to have brought their race together…and we are pretty sure who…â€
“I say it’s Zul’jin! It’s gotta be Zul’Jin,!†A quivering voice appeared behind them as an old troll slowly made his way up the long row of stairs to where the huntress and orc were standing.
Tasera’s eyes once again lit up with that sound of that name, “Zul’jin?! De Zul’jin?!†Tasera turned and looked like she was going to just walk in there but the orc pulled her back, “You an idiot troll or something?!†Tasera turned and glared, but she was cut silent by the old Witch Doctor, who pointed through the gates, “I saw a vision. Dere was bad voodoo happenin’ behind dese walls. Da Amani, dey be calling upon their gods, I have foreseen nuttin but revenge an hatred. Dey kill Alliance..AND da Horde. If my visions be correct, and dis is Zul’Jin orderin’ da attacks on both forces.â€
The orc beside the two growled, “I don’t care what kind of presence he had amongst all of troll kind, we need to go in there and KILL HIM!â€
The witch doctor’s eyes narrowed, “He is a great leader ta our peoples, we need ta try and negotiate again before da alliance go crazy and send dere men in to da attack!â€
Fist clenching the orc glared, “You saw were negotiating got as last time. The moment that crazy troll saw that we allied ourselves with the blood elves, he only wanted to see us all dead. Even the darkspear! You saw it, you even said yourself that he had a heart bent on revenge now, do you think negotiating is going to change his mind!? We need to find a strong group of warriors to go in there and take him down before he gains too much of his former glory and whipes out our forces!â€
The old troll snarled, but went quiet for a moment, holding onto his old gnarled staff for support he looked from side to side and then something struck him, “Were did dat little huntress go?!†The orcs eyes opened wide, and he turned to look right in through the opened gates of Zul’Aman. “She was an idiot…â€
Inside, Tasera once began to slink, curiosity having gotten the best of her. She had taken the aspect of the beast, to better traverse the grounds. She had a sly smile, and boosted confidence as she had managed to go, in her eyes, pretty far without being captured. She rounded a corner, and stopped, her eyes finding a terrifying sight. A witch doctor, he was chanting something. The fires around him began to flare, A vision of a great feline appeared before him, and the fires swirled around his body. There was a powerful roar. And the witch doctor’s body shifted. He transformed into some manner of humanoid cat, not unlike the possessed priests and priestesses did with in Zul’Gurub. “Is dis what dey were talkin’ about, dis …†She turned slightly further around the corner, and there he was, watching this witch doctor change shapes. He laughed, cackled even at this sudden show of power. The look in his eye was that of pure joy, and also hatred. She noticed too, that along with an eye, the mighty troll leader was also missing an arm. She wanted to get closer, she had to listen in. she was no rogue, but some how she managed to get this far without….
A searing pain over took her abdomen. She looked down, a massive dagger penetrating through her armor and into her stomach. Blood was spilling between her fingers and as she held the handle of the blade. She peered up in the rush and saw three Amani warriors come at her. One sending his fist square into her jaw and making her lean frame fly back against one of the massive stone walls. “Zul’Jin!†one of the brutes yelled, “Zul’jin wes have a horde spy in our midst!â€
They dragged her body out and slammed it on the ground. Using her hands, she started to lean up as best she could in the pain she was in. One dagger and a punch, this shouldn’t have been all that could send her to her knees, but she was on the ground bleeding badly, and her muscles quivering. The dagger must have been laced with a poison. As she reached down to try and pull out the dagger she suddenly saw a pair of troll feet in front of her. She stopped briefly and looked up to see him, starring down at her with one, very angry eye.
“Dey unda estimate me! Da foolish horde, send only one in?! An she doesn’t even have any way ta stealth!†He breaks into a furious laughter.
She wanted to speak up, she wanted to say that she was only curious, that she was not a part of the forces outside the gate, but she couldn’t. The poisons kept her silent.
“Poor little huntress.†He sneered, “Put ‘ere body near da gates, spear her to da ground and let it be known to da alliance an da horde dat dere fate will be da same as dis little female!â€
Tasera’s eyes looked up in horror, as they began to drag her body off, spears in hand. She looked to the side, and saw Despara slinking back. She made eye contact with the beast, and gave him an order that just brushed across her lips. “Get…Get Lah..Aitana, or..Warburn..tell dem…get them to…†her eyes shut, and she blacked out with poisons rushing through her veins. Despara yowled and left in a rush, running as fast as his long lgs could carry him. He looked back once to see the vengeful Amani spearing her hands to the ground just past the front gates.
