Rebirthing

Postby Tarja » Fri Jan 14, 2011 4:32 am

The skies fell a heavy grey, as the rain began to fall. She could hear the drops hit the ground, as she watched him walk away. She tried to talk him out of this war, but he refused to listen. Listen to anything she had to say. nnShe felt the strong grip upon her shoulder, that she found solace in, that of her fathers. She turned to walk away from the cliff, looking back only once, to see that he to, was walking away…she did not know, it would be her last look…ever.…nn“Anulisgis…You need to wake…” she woke up from a deep sleep, she could tell, she had been crying, as she felt as though, she was still tired. It had been this way, for some time, progressing to worse. She did not talk now. She simply, stood at the same cliff, looking down. Her eyes, one blue, one purple, had started to loose the shimmer they once held. nn“You need to wake up dear…we have news…” She rolled over, staring blankly at her mother, whom held a scroll reluctantly in her hand. She could hear her sister in a near by tent yelling “YOU CANT TELL HER YET..” she inclined her head…shaking it, as she pushed the scroll away…she already knew, what it was about.. and it was something she was not ready to face…She simply stood up. “Anulisgis…” She shook her head, the fish tail braids moving with her head. She looked almost…child like. nnShifting her form, which was not uncommon for her kind to do, she took the form of a large feline. She then, simply disappeared…nn---nnThe little girl was playing in the forest, laughing and watching her mother make silly faces as she picked flowers. nn“Mommy.. what’s that over there?” she asked curiously. Tarja inclined her head and sighed… nn“it looks like.. a cat.” She frowned, noticing that the cat, had seemed to be losing a fair amount of blood. “Hm … Rain, how about you take this basket back to Zaya, she’s down by the beach setting up the picnic. I’m sure she’s getting worried about you by now. Tell her.. mommy will be along in a little bit..” nnTarja leaned down to the feline, whom, obviously wasn’t a feline at all, she inclined her head, looking at the wounds that were deep, but not life threatening. The cat did not seem to wish them better… nn“You are not a typical druid are you…” the purple eyes regarded her, they showed care, but they also showed…nothing. nnThe elf muttered a few words in her own tongue, as the healing magic’s gathered around the wounds, sealing them, the druid, simply lay her head down…disappointed. nn“Most would be happy.. to be healed of such….it is going to rain…come home with me…” nnThe druid simply stood, and strode along side the elf, humoring her. nnThey, arrived at the manner the elves called home, it was different and unlike most of what the druid had seen. She seemed curious, as she walked over to a toy.. and smacked it with an over sized paw. She heard the laughter of a child, and her ears twitched…. nn“Mommy! Funny cat!” Rain cried out, as tarja held an arm out, blocking her from getting close to the ‘funny cat’ nn“yes…it is a very unique cat..” her brow furrowed with worry, as it made it’s way over to them, slowly. The cats head down, she was looking at the toy as she walked, stepping on another. That squeaked, it made her jump, startled, it also made Rain, laugh. Laughter…was something she had not heard in many years…and it reminded her of her sister. nn“Do you have a name…cat?” Tarja asked, dropping her arm, as the cat stood still, rain walking over to her, she sat down next to her. “Your pretty.. Can I pet you” nnThe druid simply, sat. She nodded in the Childs direction, and realized, she liked…. This. nnRain, reaching over after petting her, grabbed some parchment and some oil like pastels, and began to sketch. nnShe offered the pad to the druid. The cat, took it within her mouth, and sat it down in front of her. She then laid down, cradling it within her front paws, she picked up a pastel, with her lips, she then began writeing. nn“Anu’lis’gis waleslu”nnnThe child looked at it for a moment, calling to her mother… “what’s that say..” nn“I think.. It’s her name..” nnThe child looked at it, picking up another pastel, knowing, she’d never be able to pronounce -that- right.. nnShe wrote down the letters as she saw them, and then, underlined the ones that made a word, she knew she could.. nnAnu’lis’gis wal’e’unnThe child giggled, proclaiming that she had figured it out… nn"ANGIE!”nnAnd so it began…the rebirth, of a broken soul…
