Event I – "Strands of Fate": Retalliation!

RP Objective:
After the destruction of the Artifact, confusion was left in its wake. Neither Horde nor Alliance ever were able to discover the purpose or the creator of the Artifact.

Unbeknown to many, the Burning Blade Cult had attempted to gain favor by capturing the Artifact for their Legion masters and are furious by the loss of their prize. They place blame for their defeat on the organizations that had become intertwined in the conflicts surrounding the Artifact. Revenge drives them; punishment is their new goal. The Burning Blade Cult begin to put in play their plans to destroy the Banners that destroyed the Artifact.

During the time of temporary peace, Cultist agents have infiltrated both the Al'shar and Nyx factions. While gaining the trust of a few of the Al'shar, the Cultists learn of the earlier kidnapping of lady Aitana. An infiltrator now plots to assassinate Lady Aitana while wearing the Al'shar colors in hopes of pinning the blame on a certain Death Knight as a motive for instigating war and the hopeful destruction of the two factions.

Although the assassination attempt failed and the Cultist escaped, Nyxians who continue to wear the runed clothing become affected. With their judgement slightly impared and more aggressive than usual, they convince the Nyx Elders that the Al'shar and the Death Knight must be stopped and revenge sought.

Nyxian scouts are on high alert. Reports are received with information that they have spotted Al'shar on patrol through the southern Eastern Kingdom. Nyx and their allies rally to engage.
