Scheduling for instances (and raids) and RP events

Postby Aitana » Mon Nov 19, 2007 1:25 pm

It was brought up in guild chat last night that it would be helpful to have regularly scheduled times for us to run instances and eventually raid together. We have the additional challenge of time zones; we have people in Europe, all North American time zones, Australia and New Zealand.

Typically, I have been trying to organize some sort of RP event on Thursdays around 9:30 pm server time. Usually it is tied to a theme or event that Mythrael refers to in his RP posts. We are an RP guild, and I would like to see this continue although I am open to revising my schedule. There is also plenty of room for others to take other times and hold regular events.

I can't make it on Tuesdays because of real life commitments.

I propose we have Friday nights as instance/raid nights, and have multiple start times: 4 pm, 7 pm, 10 pm, and midnight. What do you think? Who can make it and what times?

What other suggestions are there for instance nights?

Is a great idea, and i must say i'm up for it.

we should make a relation betwen task and timezones so we can organize better for example

My main is Terpsicore a Tank
And i'm Mexican i live GTM -6
that time is the same as server time

having info like this would help a lot

Range DPS and (for non-heroics) off-tank (or full tank with certain group makeups).
Australia, GMT10+ (11+ when America has DST) - Server time +16 (17).

Fridays seem to work pretty well. Breitan and I are available pretty much all Friday evening for whatever instances our myriad characters can run.

I'll make a point of reserving time for RP events on Thursdays (though not this one, due to the holiday) - it will be nice to have regular RP.

Gorehorn is being constructed (reconstructed?) for main tank/off tank spec.
Availability is open most nights after 10pm server, but realistically weekends are where my greatest availability lies due to teh toddler and infant aggro that is rampant in our home. Gorehorn will be looking to forming Nyx pre-mades for BG's both for RP and social gatherings. S! is about to become purchaseble with honor after all.....

Gohjira is ranged DPS off heal with equal availability to that of Gorehorn. I anticipate that he will be occasionally arranging RP/PVP events (world PVP primarily).

I like Thursdays, and will try to be on every last Thursday to domesday. Or something will come up. I can generally do every other Friday, as the alternate are taken up with old fashioned RP. The kind that was played in the olden days. We'd have to carry our encumberance chart uphill through the snow to fight the {ROY G BIV*} dragon. Then we'd have to go back up the hill through the snow, and get told that we didn't do enought to level; next time bring cola for the DM. And WE liked it! It was good enough for us. All this RP'ing on your computer, flibbelty flew! [/rant]

Baelspar tanks okay, I've been practicing and eating my Tel'abim Bananas.

I have a pile of lowbie alts. One of these days, they may even see Outland. Perhaps even Grellix. /shock and dismay

Terpsicore - By Mexican do you mean "I live in Jersey, but was born in Mexico." or "Vivo en Monterrey, y los Rayados son los Mejores!"?
