I think this is a terrible idea. I'd like it better ig the interested party remained the same race but could only switch sides after a lengthy and difficult quest chain. There should also be reputation penalties across the board, even with neutral factions. No one likes a traitor.

Yeah, but why would they do that when they can make real life money this way? Just another non-tangible thing they can charge money for, like the recustomization and what not.
