Difficulty Accessing This Site

About three weeks ago, I was using the forums when I clicked to go back a page and it was unable to load the page...meaning time passed, but it couldn't load. I had to close the browser, I.E., to exit the site. For a couple days after that, I could not access this site. I would click the link in my favorites list, like usual, but instead of reaching the site in the usual couple of seconds, it would try to load, and keep trying, for about 40 seconds or so, then default to my search engine and ask if had meant "thenix.org?"

After a few days of this, I was suddenly met with access restored, as it had been previously. I had not changed anything on my computer before, during or after this, and other sites in my favorite list had no problems.

About a week ago, I again was unable to access this site, with the same symptomology, and no other problems. I tried twice each day, with the same results as previously. Two days ago, I did notice the briefest of flickers between trying to access the site and my search engine launching. I looked at my history list, and prior to the search engine entry, was this: res://ieframe.dll/dnserror.htm. I do not have the expertise to know what this means, or if it is even relevant.

Tonight, when I clicked on the Nyx link in My Favorites, it promptly brought me here. If the problem is at my end, it is only with this site. I described these symptoms in-game several times, and at least Kainon (SP?) told me he was having the same trouble. My ISP is from Kentucky, through Ohio; his is in Australia.

If I should disappear again, please know it is not through my intent to do so.

Long story short....it's a server issue. Basically, the main site I run on this server has started to outgrow it. However, this server already costs us $5000 US a year, and the advertising on that site barely brings in that much. I can't afford anything bigger. During peak hours, it can be difficult to access. Outside of that however, it should load quite quickly.
