So, I was reading the new Jack of Fables trade, and came across this:

Next: I do so many heroic things in the next issue that it's impossible to fit if all into this caption. So instead, just look at my hair for a minute. Seriously. Isn't it glorious? Can you believe it just comes out of my head like that? How can one man have so many things going for him at once? It just boggles the mind, don't it?

It's about the Jack of the Jack cycle of fairy tales (Jack and the Beanstalk, Jack the Giant Killer, etc) living in the modern world. He's kind of like Bael and Linkan, except without the pointy ears.

It's best to start with Fables: Legends in Exile. It's the start of the whole series, and gives you insight as to what Jack did to put himself on the outs with the rest of the Fables.

As for another quote from another series:

The elf needs food, badly.

by the Question in 52 Volume 1. Terrible name for a comic, but it's a great story line. I nearly died reading that one.
