WOW Issues

Is anyoen else getting an error message related to the Bliz downloader as they start up WOW?nnIs anyone else getting an error message when the log into a toon concerning DBM?nnAny solutions to either?

I did get a message from the Blizzard downloader but it was not an error message.nnI am getting error messages from DBM but I've been ignoring them.

It's common but easily fixed - I had it too.nnGo into your WoW folder on your C drive, find the background downloader, right click it and hit properties. the click the comparability tab, then click the box that says "run this program with" and there's a drop down, which should say "windows 98/ME". Hit apply or save or whichever it is and that fixes the issue.

Are you using XP? Cause if you're using Vista/Win7 you should be able to set the compatibility to Win XP and fix it instead of 98/ME.nnSorry that just kinda boggles my brain a bit.

nnNo that's the bug - set the compatibility mode to the older OS and it seems to fix the bug.

I was getting DBM errors, noticed that it had an update, installed the updated version and it stopped.

Changed properties as advised and the downloader message is gone. New DBM download and it is fixed as well.nnThanks!
