Re: RP apprenticeship idea
If it gets implemented, there should be some sort of consent between volunteers.nIf a new person needs help, we should direct them to a board of volunteers to see who would fit them the best.nnAnd as per a realistic apprenticeship the mentor could reject or accept an apprentice.nI mean forcing a tauren druid and a blood elf warlock together would not really work out.nnThough to prevent people from just volunteering to just make themselves look good and not really do anything, the mentor should at least provide good reason for not wanting to take up a certain apprentice, probably an in character reason.

Re: RP apprenticeship idea
nn((That's what I was trying to convey greth. Glad it was phrased a bit more clearly by you. But as I said to Lah, right now it's just an idea and one of the main things that keeps me posting on it is clearing up some things in case the idea is actually aproved. The relevance of this topic depends entirely on drac and swan agreeing or disagreeing with the idea.))Grethem wrote:If it gets implemented, there should be some sort of consent between volunteers.nIf a new person needs help, we should direct them to a board of volunteers to see who would fit them the best.nnAnd as per a realistic apprenticeship the mentor could reject or accept an apprentice.nI mean forcing a tauren druid and a blood elf warlock together would not really work out.nnThough to prevent people from just volunteering to just make themselves look good and not really do anything, the mentor should at least provide good reason for not wanting to take up a certain apprentice, probably an in character reason.

This is a new development and the Oracles will be reviewing the status of Ward of Lore as soon as possible. In the meantime, please do keep discussing your idea, to develope it more fully.

Re: RP apprenticeship idea
((I'm sorry to hear that Lah.I hope they enjoy the time away from the game and enjoy coming back just as much.))nn((In further response on keeping the applications for volunteers and apprentices organized, perhaps a topic similar to this one? Probably someone fairly active would have to be around to update who is and isn't in the program as well as who is working with who. Other than that there would be some initial problems on actually setting up the groups as has been mentioned by grethem and drakathas. If the idea is accepted I continue my endorsement of a "job fair" type event with a "wandering interview" method for showing apprenticeship applicants all the possible volunteers, and someone to manage the requests for working with specific volunteers and managing the interviews.))nn((If that works there would have to be an entirely different conversation later about where it would be and when, again this is all if it's accepted. It would have to be in a secure area so it isn't a big sign saying "send PVP raids here" and it would need to be easily accessed by those who are unable to reach higher level areas.))nn((as a direct question to those who have been most active on this topic, If the idea is accepted would you, since you have shown concern in how it would work, be able to help manage it in some way? All larger projects that I have seen tend to get a bit out of hand without a few people who know what they are talking about to ensure nothing goes wrong. I probably wouldn't even be the one to pick that group since it's just an idea but it would be more reassuring to me if on the possibility this is accepted there are enough people who understand it to at least be able to help out.))nSincerely, n Dark/Zer

nnI really would like to get more involved in the lore section, seeing that it's struggling with keeping up with the other wards in trying to come up with events.Asarelah wrote:http://thenyx.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=4855&p=28658#p28658nDracmordanPost subject: Swanthula & DracmordanPosted: Tue Apr 27, 2010 10:48 pm nnSwanthula and Dracmorda have retired from the world for now. Re: RP apprenticeship idea
I know I am in the Ward of War and I am still of low season, and fairly new to Nyx, but I volunteer to help to organize this project. I may not be a good Teacher right now, as I will be an apprentice.

((not to be negative at all, but since there haven't been many updates on the status of this does that mean it has been ended? do we just not have enough people replying on the Ward of lore discussion topic?))

Re: RP apprenticeship idea
Dark you will have to be patient as the state of Ward of Lore is still being worked on. I'm sure this idea could move forward but as Lah said the topic can still be discusses while we look for a new Nightwarder of Lore. Things we tend to move slower until such time.
