Don't remember exactly, but I'm pretty sure it's in the Kb range

Shixin, I downloaded the addon. Sometime I'd like to talk with you about what the next step is.

Re: Guild Reputation System
nnYou just meet with me in-game and I invite you to the Emerald Dream GHR Project and make you the admin for the Nyx reputation. Then, at least one of the leaders for each Ward will need to meet with me too, so I can do the same for the ward reputations. After that, the rep admins can make others assistant admins and such.nnKeep in mind, Gryphonheart Reputation is only a part of it. Gryphonheart Items is the addon for handing out reputation increases (or decreases!).nnAnd, if you'll tell me what increments of rep increases you'd like to see (50?, 500?, 1000?), I'll create the GHI items (Certificates of Merit? or something else...maybe something more 'Nyx-like'?) and pass copies on to you guys.Aitana wrote:Shixin, I downloaded the addon. Since Bloodthin is the highest ranking officer we have in Lore at the moment, I'm going to ask that the two of you work out the details. I will help out in anyway I can. I have downloaded the reputation mod and I will download the Gryphonheart Items mod as well. I trust that the two of you can work out the details that you mentioned and get this going.

Re: Gryphonheart Items and Reputation System
***EDIT: As I said last night I would copy this into the GH thread, here it is. I also did a little searching and came up with a possible problem. Pilus said back in April he found that on larger realms, there was a memory leak related to FlagRSP. Before going through the time consuming process below, i recommend completely disabling FlagRSP and trying to run your game with the GH addons loaded. I use MyRoleplay myself, so I don't know much about FlagRSP's compatibility. If you discover that Flag is indeed your problem, I recommend you switch to MRP so that you can take advantage of our cool stuff here! Otherwise, continue on...nn
nnnI have never had this kind of problem with it, but Aitana told me Cobriana was having a similar issue. I've looked at Pilus' forums, but there are no current bugs reported that cause crashing. I will post a request for more info there, but I'm going to have to say the conflict is probably coming from a GH addon and another of addon you have loaded. In fact, I seem to remember that someone told me that FlagRSP seemed to be the source of the conflict, but I can't find any info to corroborate that.nnHere is my suggestion on finding the problem. I know it is a bit of a process, but if you can eliminate the source of the conflict, you'll fix the problem.nnAsarelah wrote:nnShixy,nnI DL'ed the package for GH and Calendar 5 that you put together. Kept crashing repeatedly afterwards, for upwards of two days. I removed the GH portions of that package and have had no DC issues since.nnAny clue what might be the rub ?? I will gladly participate, but can not if the GH add ons keep knocking me off line every five seconds.Shixin wrote:It is also my sincere hope to set up the Gryphonheart Reputation system at these events, but much will need to be done first.
- Step 1: Download and install Addon Control Panel nStep 2: Deactivate all Addons from your Character Selection screen (don't worry, all your addon information is saved and everything will reappear according to your last configuration) then load your character. nStep 3: Once in the game, hit 'ESC' to get the game menu. If the ACP was installed correctly, you should now have a button on your menu called 'Addons'. Click on it to bring up the ACP interface.nStep 4: Turn on your Gryphonheart addons FIRST. Scroll down the list until you find the GH addons and check the boxes beside all of them. Hit the 'Reload' button at the bottom of the ACP window. At this point you should not crash, but if you do, exit the game completely, delete the GH addons from the Addons folder, and download and install each one seperately.nStep 5: If no crashing, turn on each of your addons one at a time using the ACP, reloading after each one, until you find a conflict.

Re: Gryphonheart Items and Reputation System
I'll be able to post the text of the specific LUA error here that contains the set of I believe 6 lines of code within a certain file that are causing the error in GryphonHeartItems. These errors seem to be linked to a file that judging by the filename is related to how the addon communicates with other players since it's name contained "communications." When it was just Wylair and Shixin near each other the other day on my laptop it generated about 1 error per second, but at the lost artifact event the other day where more people were using it, it generated about 20 errors per second. It only seems to happen when around other people.nnAlso on the note of FlagRSP, I'm not sure, I don't use it, I use MyRolePlay myself. As for compatability between those addons they are compatabile All of the fields that both FlagRSP and MyRolePlay have (as well as something called ImmersionRP) can be seen by the other. MyRolePlay has the most information fields though, so there are things that FlagRSP and ImmersionRP cannot see that other MyRolePlay users can.nnAlso from what I understand FlagRSP and MyRolePlay share a fair amount of their code in order to enable this compatability (as well as Immersion). FlagRSP was the original so I'm assuming Immersion is also using a bit of RSP's coding. So depending on where the issue resides it may also carry over to MyRolePlay (and since I have the problem as well, but use MRP instead of RSP this may be the case) nnI'm also not sure how much different the FlagRSP continutation (FlagRSP2 and FlagRSP-WoTLK seem to be the popular ones) addons are from the real FlagRSP (since the original FlagRSP was abandoned early BC)nnFor people that don't display LUA errors (non-addon authors usually turn those off) the build up of the errors may be causing the memory issue by building up behind the GUI until memory fills.nnOh yeah and one last thing: Pilus just released and update to GHI today that may fix the problem, I'll have to check when I get home today. He said the previous version was "indeed buggy" He's also considering these "test" versions as well.

Re: Gryphonheart Items and Reputation System
This sounds like a fun add on, and I'm just finally catching up to all the previous threads concerning it. I have two concerns for utilizing it within Nyx. One, with the expansion coming out soon and the implementation of the new guild reward system, I wonder if it may be redundant to use an add on like this. We don't really know what the guild rep system will be like yet, and it could be confusing to ask Nyxians to use this system and the new one coming out as well. Secondly, regarding it's use for rp, I personally feel like it's a bit advanced for the level of rp it seems the majority of nyxians are interested in/comfortable with right now. With new officers and Nightwarders coming into service, I wonder if it would not be wiser to start with the basics, and get everyone at least rp'ing and comfortable with basic rp before moving on to something more advanced like this. nnOn a completely different note, I absolutely LOVE the idea of creating quests and assigning quest givers for ward pledges to complete- I wish blizzard would give this authority to guild masters as I think it would provide endless rp possibilities. I would be tempted to push for this program's implementation based off of that function alone if I didn't think it would confuse everyone. nnLove, n"2 cents you didn't ask for" Sally

nnnYou know, I asked Pilus about this on his forums. Here's what he said:nnDracmorda wrote:This sounds like a fun add on, and I'm just finally catching up to all the previous threads concerning it. nnIn reality, I don't think there is going to be an adjusting reputation bar for rep with your guild. If there is, I don't see them giving GL's the power to change it. For the guild perks, I think if you are part of the guild and of appropriate rank (as set by the GL), you'll get the perk. So, long story short, I think there will still be a use for it, even after Cata drops.nnnWith regard to the level of complexity, I don't think it's too complicated to ask someone to load the mods. After, they're a lot like DBM, you just load it and it works. If someone wants to spend time learning to create items, great. If not, they can still enjoy it by using items created by others.nnnI've just started experimenting with Verisimilar, the addon that lets you make quest chains using in-game NPC's like Thrall and Sylvanus. From what I've seen so far, it REALLY looks amazing. When I get some time to work on it, I'll post some shots here on the forums.Keep in mind that GHR is aswell used for keeping track of peoples reputation towards other factions than the players faction. It is a result of roleplaying actions in any case, so I dont think that is covered in cataclysm changes.

I have downloaded and installed both Gryphonheart Addons. Right now, I have it running on Leothiel. I will activate it on Thieldren soon.

Re: Gryphonheart Items and Reputation System
A quick warning for anyone using Gryphonheart Rep. Make sure you turn the "auto-join project" tickbox off on EACH character after you have successfully joined the Nyx one. Wouldn't want you to suddenly be stuck with the gnometech/clan battlehammer reputation.
