Oh! I thought once you logged into a 'custom' channel manually, you logged into it automatically everytime you started the game thereafter. At least, that's the way it always worked for me.nnI totally see where you are coming from with regard to the IC channel going into disuse; I've seen that happen myself. Then again, I've never been in a guild that had as many people as interested in (or even serious about!) RP as there appear to be in this guild.

The custom channels are supposed to be permanent like you said, but experience says that they are not. For unknown reasons they will randomly disappear from the channels that a character is in.

This is an interesting topic. As a RPGer for 25+ years, let me give you my take.nnThere are different levels of RPers. Some are serious, some are casual. Some RPers are very good at being in character, others struggle to find that connection past gaming mechanics. Some care more about game than RP, and vica verca.nnNyx in particular, has the WHOLE spectrum. Bound together by common respect for RP should be enough, whether someone used an emoticon or not. Whether someone uses (( or not. As long as they respect the RP element, I think its a-ok. There is some polite etiquette that one may not know, but thats different than disrespecting RP - which i rarely see in Nyx.nnPersonally, in WoW, its casual RP for me. I get my serious RP in games where I am personally interacting, and find WoW limiting that way.nn((My 2 cents only
