Re: Gryphonheart Items and Reputation System
For the folks having problems with these addons but would still like to use them, I recommend the following options.nn1) Try the procedure I wrote up few posts back.nn2) Delete the GH addon folders from your ..World of Warcraft/Interface/Addons directory and then reinstall it using the Curse client. I know people are afraid they're going to get a virus, but that really an urban legend at this point. If you do this, make sure you have your curse client set to download beta versions as well as full releases.nn3) Use the GH addons alone. When participating in RP events or promotion ceremonies, activate your GH addons and deactivate everything else.nnI can't imagine what the issue might be. I keep them on constantly, along with about 80 other addons I have running constantly. Granted, I have a good pc, but I don't think that's the reason because I was running these addons when I played on my old Pentium 4 machine with 3gb memory and an 80gb hard drive.

Re: Gryphonheart Items and Reputation System
Ok, so with the latest build of GHI, it seems like many of the problems people were experiencing are now over. Maybe exchanged for a new set of problems, but so far, so good.nnSo, with everyone's blessing, I'd like to move this to the next step!nn1) Addressing the concern about the new guild rep UI in Cata taking the place of Gryphonheart Reputation. In fact, it may very will do that. However, it will not have "sub-guilds" for reputation, like our Wards. To that effect, GHR may continue to serve a purpose for us. As I understand it, Guild Leaders will have the ability to set rep for guild members. Those decisions could be affected by the rep gained (or lost) with the Wards.nn2) Promotions - Based on some ideas that we have been talking about, we've come up with this:nnEphemeral must have at least Nyx Rep @ Neutral & Ward Rep @ Friendly (basically, endorsing a candidate makes them Friendly to the Ward)nShade must have at least Nyx Rep @ Friendly & Ward Rep @ HonorednShadow/UC must have at least Nyx Rep @ Honored & Ward Rep @ ReverednNightwarder/Elder must have at least Nyx Rep @ Revered & Ward Rep @ ExaltednOracles must be Exalted with all Wards and Nyx.nnNow, this is not to say that someone who makes Honored in Nyx automatically becomes an Umbral Champion. But it does say that one cannot become a UC if they still have no rep gains with their ward or the Tribe. nnWard leaders will give out tokens to members for whatever reasons they choose (showing up for events or meetings, contributing to the Ward's business, whatever). These tokens will increase the member's rep when it is used. They can also just increase a ward member's reputation through the moderator panel, and promote them on the spot. Or demote, if required.nnOracles will be the only ones to hand out Nyx rep tokens. The reason for this is that gaining rep with your Ward also gains you rep with Nyx. The ratio is 4:1 Ward Rep to Nyx Rep. So, for every 100 Ward Rep points you earn, you also get 25 Nyx Rep points. Likewise, -100 sets you back -25. Oracles can also promote on the spot, raising rep to whatever level they think is deserved.nnnSo...feedback! What do you guys think? Do you think a reward system like this would encourage more assistance and fun in the guild?

Re: Gryphonheart Items and Reputation System
Should we "grandfather" Rep for long term members (Shadows), UCs, Nightwarders and Oracles ?nnShadow : FriendlynUC : HonorednNW : ReverednOracles : ExaltednnPerhaps ?nnIt makes sense to me that those that have already served in order to rise in our ranks should be honored for past longevity, service and achievements.nnIt might be a nice touch for a Shade to Shadow promotion to also be awarded Friendly status within their ward, in celebration of their tenure, and an acknowledgment of their time and/or service with the guild.nnIF they are not contributing to their ward in any way, they don't make Shadow and get the next rank up.nnOne of my thoughts for this grandfather action is to avoid drama.... How does a ward leader advance their rank? Give themselves honor for every little thing they do? Where does that start, and stop? Too much room for folk to shake fingers at.nnIn addition, it further makes sense to me that you MUST achieve a rank just below the "grandfathered" one in order to apply for the next rank up. For instance, a Member would have to be Friendly with their Ward to apply for Umbral Champion. And so on and so forth.nnMake it more desirable for folk to achieve GH Rep with their Wards in order to advance within their Ward and perhaps more of our membership will "buy in" to this project.

I think the outline Lah suggested sounds like a good idea. Nothing worse than annoying your "customer" base by making changes and not taking into account the people who are already loyal to the "service".nnI'm happy for it to go live.

Re: Gryphonheart Items and Reputation System
Oh definitely! In fact, current officers shouldn't need to "grind" rep at all, where as newly-joining members will start with the lowest. Here's how it would work when we push it live:nnIf you are currentlynn- Ephemeral - Ward rep set at Friendly (Nyx rep automatically remains at Neutral, though they gain some points)n- Shade - Ward rep set at Honored (Nyx rep should auto advance to Friendly)n- Shadow - Ward rep set at Revered (Nyx rep advances to Honored)n- Umbral Champion/Elder - Ward rep set at High Revered (Nyx rep may go to Revered, but will probably remain at high Honored)n- Nightwarder - Ward rep set at Exalted (Nyx rep advances to Revered)n- Oracles - Set at Exalted with NyxnnThe only people that can manually change rep (without tokens) is a faction leader (ward leader) or the Project Leader (me). They might be able to change their own rep, but hey, if we have to worry about that with the people in those positions, they shouldn't be officers in our guild.

Re: Gryphonheart Items and Reputation System
nnnSome, maybe, but not bad. nnAll the ward leaders need to do is hand out the reputation tokens when you see someone do something good for the ward. And before you promote someone, have them post a screenshot of their guild/ward reputation on the forums.nnI can create the rep tokens for each of the wards and hand them out in stacks to whoever the ward leader says should be passing them out.Mahgilla wrote:sounds cool.. but also seems like work.. unless im not undertanding the program correctly.
