Using the hearthstone (We cannot hear your thoughts)

I have noticed recently that we have (what I think of as) an increase in talented roleplayers among us, and at times, an increase in people utilizing the hearthstone (ie: in character g-chat)- and it is great to see! I also see people who are not as versed in roleplay getting inspired and chipping in "in character" as well, which is equally great. As an elder of the guild and former usher of the guild's Lore, I thought I might be able to add a few comments and points that may be useful for some of our new rp'ers to use and consider!nnOne thing I wanted to remind people of (for those of you new to rp, or the style Nyx rp's in) is an action between your character and the Guildstone, which is thought. While we can choose to use our guildstones as a magic mirror to see through, and clearly we can hear ourselves speaking to one another, the guildstone does not allow us to read each other's thoughts.n

nExamples of what your stone CAN do:n1. *Warburn looks through the stone and notices Aitana by the lake*n2. Lah don’t you dare look at me! *Myyah covers her stone so she can‘t be seen*n3. *Dracmorda stands by the bar, the bartender can be heard mumbling something about ”dead orcs”, with a glare on his face*nnExamples of what your stone CAN NOT do:n1.*Leo grabs Aitana and pushes her down into the chair*n2. *Lythanor chases Warburn down the hall screaming the whole way*n3. *Grethem thinks he'll eat 3 gnomes for dinner*

nnI noticed a few people fumbling with this issue over the last week or two, and thought it could be useful to repost this info regarding thought. nnNow what you can do is emote out suggestion of thought. For example, let's say someone offended you in gchat, and you wanted to let people know you were thinking about stabbing that person. Instead of typing *think she wants to kill the mage for saying such things*, you could just as easily write *looks at the stone with what looks like the eyes of a killer* or *looks at the stone with murderous eyes*. nnHopefully this will clear up any confusion on thought and the hearthstoe, and for anyone new to rp or interested in further reading on how Nyx handles RP in guild chat, you can find everything you need to know here: http://thenyx.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=4486nnGreat to see so many new rp'ers coming out from the shadows!
