First Meeting of the new Ward Of Lore

It is my opinion that this was a very successful gathering for our first official regrouping as na unified Ward of Lore! Thanks to the efforts of all present, the torch representing the Lore of nLady Nyx was rekindled and strengthened by the power of her pledges. For those who were not nable to attend, these are the major topics discussed:nnIn AttendancenOracles: Warburn, Aitana, AsarelahnElder: EyesorenUmbral Champions: Ulua, Dracmorda and SwanthulanUmbral Aspirants: Miaoyin, Desias and PartedhairnPledges of Lore: Zerjital, Xoott, Ianodil, Leoness, Oiyajin, Lythanor, Kallokainn__________________________________________________________nnTOPICS DISCUSSEDnn1. Due to leadership vacancies and other factors, we all discussed the idea that the rp in nNyx has dropped to an uncomfortable level over the past few months, and no longer meet thenideals of the Guild's mission statement. We established that it is the responsibility of thenmembers of the Ward of Lore to gather together now under new leadership and reignite the flamenof role play in the guild. We also discussed the idea that it is considered by some the responsibility nof NYX as the largest RP guild horde side on the Emerald Dream to create, spread, encourage and nsupport rp that is current, engaging, and exciting for the whole server. Enriching the story, events nand general rp of Nyx is the immediate basic goal for the Ward, with long term goals of enriching, nencouraging and supporting the entire rp community horde side on Emerald Dream. nnA.) NEW RULES----------nA few new rules have been established for everyone pledged to the Ward of Lore. They are as follows:nn1. LEAD BY EXAMPLE. Some in Nyx are new to roleplay, others are intimated by it, and some justngenerally do not know how to rp. It is our jobs as keepers of the Ward of Lore to lead by examplenand teach/help/nurture the guild along in it's rp progression. As such, from this point forward allnpledges to the Ward are expected to speak IN CHARACTER in guild chat at all times. We feel anythingnyou need to say can be said "in character" with creativity, and it is our jobs now to show others hownto do this. We no longer condone the use of ((brackets)) as a means to speak OOC in the guild chat, andnany sort of smileys or non grammatical symbols will not be permitted either. We are looking to those in thenWard of Lore to help one another with this and to kindly remind others in the Ward to do the same if theynstep out of context. As universally understood, whispers OOC should be ((bracketed)) for clarity if you arenwhispering someone OOC, and party and raid chat are expected to be OOC as usual, including nmost raid and pvp campaign chat. nn2. TEACH/HELP OTHERS. We are looking to whip the guild's rp into shape, and as such we expectnpledges of the ward to aid people who are new to rp or seek to rp better. Reaching out to people andnhelping them will go a lot further than criticizing them, and we all had help ourselves somewherenalong the way, so we are encouraging you to pass it on!nn3. CONTRIBUTE. We expect you all to contribute to the richness of the Nyx website through stories, ncharacter profiles and/or artwork. Get involved and inspire the creativity of your fellow guildmnates bynposting content to the site! Likewise, creating and/or hosting random rp in game is always smiled upon.nn4. ATTEND MEETINGS. We expect everyone to attend scheduled Ward of Lore meetings when possible. nnB.) We discussed the overall storyline of the guild at this point. At this moment we are building a nstoryline that will steer the tribe towards the changes coming in the Cataclysm expansion. At this point, nrumblings and earthquakes are being felt throughout Azeroth, and no one is sure of their origins. At thisnpoint, Dracmorda in her quick acting rage has assumed and charged the dwarves of Ironforge withndrilling through the underground as an attack on Orgrimarr, and the guild is going into Ironforge toninvestigate these claims (see "INTO THE MOUNTAIN" rp event in the events section of the Ward nof Lore for more info on this event). Any ideas/ways you can contribute to this storyline are encouraged!nnC.) We discussed Kallokain posting helpful information on the Lore forums here regarding the ncultures and characteristics of the various races of the Horde for general rp inspiration.nnD.) Myself (Dracmorda) and Swanthula were ascended to NIGHTWARDERS of the Ward of Lore. nnE.)
