Perhapes it was foolish of her to do so, but Svalina had waited far to long. Setting quill to pardhment she began her petition to the lady Nyx. A petition to bring the guild forward to end the threat of the Sunwell reborn. She considered the history for a moment as she composed herself to write......
The sunwell awaited in its demon infested rage. There had been many attempts and many failures. her one attempts a year ago to strike into its heart had ended in failure most profound. The recriminations had shattered the guild she was in. No one was willing to admit in thier pride that it was simply very very hard. Kalec, the mortal form of Kalecgos the blue dragon still stood by awaiting the opportunity to rescue his Aveena. Aveena... her head still spun at the concept. The girl was the sunwell. All of its magic and wonder in an apparent mortal form.
The high elves had lost the sunwell, shattered at the orders of Kael'thas before its corrupting influence destroyed the Elves utterly. After that the High Elves remenant become the blood elves. Korialstrasz, or Krasus of the Kirin Tor (she wondered that so few were aware of this) had gathered the remaining energies of the sunwell and had formed them into a mortal shell...Aveena. Later Kael'thas had made his way to outland and there formed an unholy pact with that arch traitor to her people Illidan Stormrage, the renegade demon. So close had her people come to being slaves of the demons. She shuddered at the thought. Then Kael'thas had returned to secretly rebuild the sunwell with the forced assistance of a Naaru called M'uru out on the island. But he had brought a demon to help, a demon! The Fool! And not just any demon. he brought Kil'jaeden. The price he would extract from the elves would be eternal slavery. Arthus, the lich king had detected the building energies and had ordered his forces to the attack. The result of the assult was the visible wound apon the land called the dead scar and the still shattered walls of Silvermoon. The power of that unholy blast had cut across leagues and the very ocean its self to Isle of Quel'Danas to shatter the walls protecting sunwell plateau reveling Kael'thas treason againt his own people to all. The Order of the Shattered Suns had formed to combat this abomination, with she herself one of its first members. Partial success had come with the breaking of Magisters' Terrace, but it was yet unfinished. The armies had decamped and moved on to Northrend to directly confront Arthus leaving the sunwell to be dealt with later. That had been most of a year in the past and the emenations of power radiating from Isle of Quel'Danas had grown stronger. She feared it would be to late, and she knew that the powers would not be held by Kael'thas but by Kil'jaeden. When Kalec had come to her, begging her help months ago and she had tried.. and failed she had withdrawn from the world in shame. The shame of it still burned. And then the shock of Theotaz's return had changed everything. He had brought her to Nyx along with Kheliosrham and the boy and she had slowly began to hope once again. then just days ago Theotaz had had come to her counciling her that perhapes it was time to take care of some the unfinished work before her. The power of Deathknights was a new thing in the world and might be that one thing that force the gates of the sunwell and allow Aveena to be freed. Nyx had many strong knghts. Its members counted within its numbers some of the strongest and most honorable an assemblage as had ever walked the world of Azeroth. For this battle she would even have hired the services of Humans, Dwarves, Night Elves, Gnomes, and Drenai were there a way. There was not, so Nyx was it and that was not a bad thing.
As for the Sunwell itsself it was still under siege by Arthus's scurge forces and the weaked forces of the Shattered Suns, held against them by the burning legion and those of the blood elves who had succumbed to the hollow promises of demons and a chained and imprisoned Narru called M'uru.
As she finished her petition to the lady Nyx with all the history that she knew on those involved. She hoped it would be granted. Her anger still burned, and her heart whept to see the dragon mage Kalec so lost in his grief. Perhapes that one thing considering the lady Nyx herself might be that which granted the boon. She signed the parchment with a flurish and handed it to Theotaz to read. He quickly went over it, nodded, and set his seal to it in approval. Handing the sealed letter to Dulucre for deliverly he looked over at the massive pile of bags she had made noting wryly that she might be better off simply granting the bags to the guild bank for disbursement. Svalina sighed admitting the right of it, to offer payment so boldly would be to paint her guildmates as mear mercenaries instead of the honorbound war house that they were. She gathered the bad and made for the guild hall
