(( From an Ulduar 10 PuG I joined last night ))
From the journal of Ambassador Leothiel Frosthawk
Tonight, I was looking more for adventure. I have contributed greatly into beating back the Scourge as well as the Alliance. It was now time for me to turn to the Titans. These progenitors think of the world as their laboratory but their infighting has brought havoc and rumors of a horror threatening to escape that vault. I have seen flesh been declared a curse in Northrend and the declaration is stronger each yard apporoaching the great titan city that is now a war zone.
I joined a group led by a scourgetouched Sin'dorei named Runeblade. The mercenaries with me had experience with beating back the Scourge and handling the titans. I volunteered to pilot one of the demolishers in the initial assault. We razed the stone beacons as well as the four towers. Stone and iron crashed before the might of the Horde. The mechanical gnomes in their flying machines fell to our ground-to-air fire. At the end of the gauntlet, a large siege vehicle broke through the gate: Flame Levianthan.
The Flame Leviathan lived up to its name. It was very slow moving but had a punch to compensate for its lack of speed. Its missiles can kill someone instantly. Runeblade was also my passenger and charged himself with disabling one of the turrets. The Leviathan stopped when its turrets were gone but managed to repair itself and start moving again. I need to ask our Oracles for engineers who can draw up a schematic for this and use it as a war machine under our own control rather than itself.
From there, we ventured into the remainder of the courtyard of Ulduar. The balcony to the east had some Kirin Tor magi fighting back an iron proto dragon by the name of Razorscale. He had help from iron dwarves. We had to harpoon the dragon to the ground twice. When he was suffering enough, he stayed on the ground.
Outside of the back teleporter was some kind of large scrap robot. There were spare parts strewn about in all of the corners. When we approached the robot, he sounded more like a spoiled elfling during Winter's Veil. He was disappointed when his new toys, of whom I was part of, were "killing" him. He summoned more from the parts in the corners. During the battle, his cold mechanical heart left his body for us to see and shoot. Then he'd "play" with us some more until we damaged him enough to call us "very bad toys" and shut down. I wish some of the kids I knew as an elfling would actually do that.
The interior of Ulduar is grand and visually stunning. There is no time take in the beauty of such a place that has been defiled. I also heard the screams of a woman named Sara. (That sounds like a human name) Our next major encounter was a statue named Kologarn. He had three parts: Right arm, left arm, and torso. His right arm was strong, but he weakened when we killed it. After a while, his right arm regenerated (Troll's blood?). When his torso was dead, he created a walkway. The Iron Council and Ignis the Furnace Master both beat us back. We decided to reconvene at another time.
I headed over to the Eastern Plaguelands to learn more about the scourge. I still haven't named my new hippogryph, which I earned from being an Argent Crusader-Champion.
