An odd package

Postby Leothiel » Wed Sep 02, 2009 10:36 am

Before Leothiel left Dalaran, he noticed that a package had arrived in the mail. It was from Oneille, or so he thought. He took a look at the handwriting and knew it was not from her. He found Aitana looking for him. "Our members are under attack by Alliance near the entrance of Azjol-Nerub." Leothiel volunteered and headed out to help against the Alliance. Unfortunately the Alliance soon drove them out of Nar'jun.

Lady Nyx also found another member who was under Alliance threat: Wiindriider, who was under the mercy of a dwarf in Nagrand. Leothiel wasted no time in opening a portal to Outland. Even Taelian joined them. Eventually, they scared off the offending dwarf. Now Leo could put his mind on the questionable package and spoke up. "I received a questionable package in the mail. It is purported to be from Oneille but it is not her handwriting." He suggested they go to a safer place away from Alliance to open it. The four flew to Garadar.

Leothiel suspected the package and the two druids kept him healed in case the thing went "boom." It did not. There was a note:

"You may have killed one old god and escaped another, but Yogg-Saron will have his prize"

Inside was a smell that made Leothiel ill to the point where he could vomit. He eventually picked up what was inside: A dragonhawk wing. Underneath it was another note:

"You're next"

None of the notes were in Oneille's handwriting. Leothiel went to explain what has happened in the past week. He talked about the tormenting visions, his crime, and his atonement. The only thing Aitana was concerned about was him putting his own life at risk without the permission from the Lady Nyx. It turned into a heated argument on whom his life belonged to.

"I risked my life on my own accord."

"Your life is not your own, it belongs to the Lady."

Leo's last act was to show what happened to him physically. He removed his shoulder armor, tabard, robe, finally his shirt. He then turned around: There were two white wings. He stretched them out to show their glory. He could have explained the relationship of magic but he did not think anyone else with him could comprehend, not even a fellow Sin'dorei like Taelian. He could not convince Aitana the nature of the tormenting nightmares he had been freed of which she readily dismissed. He also observed something about Aitana: She had been becoming progressively cold and distant, which he knew was unlike her. He also resented his having to seek permission to undergo a trial for his crime when what has been done is done.

*Later that night*

Leothiel and Oneille made their way to a secluded spot on the shore of the Hinterlands. This was the only place where the forest trolls were friendly with the Horde. Since me met Oneille, Leothiel had been keeping his picnic basket in his bags and even buying wine from Dalaran. He looked forward to these times with her, especially at the end of a long day. He brought up the unusual package.

*Journal entry for that evening*

I received a package with two notes and a severed dragonhawk wing. This looks like the handiwork of an old god cult, someone within the ranks of Nyx, or even both. They must have known about my tormenting visions as well as what my family did for extra money: Raise dragonhawks. I also have doubts on Aitana's character for she was rather icy and unreceptive about the tormenting visions that I have just been free from.

Oneille and I met afterwards in the Hinterlands and talked about what has happened. The weather was a bit cool for a swim.

My parents and sister are coming up on Monday. I haven't seen my parents in almost seven years and this sister was born after they fled. I will write to Thieldren and tell him what has transpired.

After Leothiel wrote in his journal, he wrote to his brother about the package upcoming meeting time with the rest of the immediate Frosthawk house.
