Epic songs, whether Disney, metal, classic etc are GREAT for RP characters. The genre doesnt matter so much as the mood inspired by them. Tough to narrow a song down, but some of my favs for WoW would be situational (no links, sorry):

Travel song: Kashmir (Led Zepplin)

Introspective song: Scarborogh Fair (Simon & Garfuncle)

Prepare for action song: Conan the Barbarian theme (which is an AMAZING set of orchestra music, despite how ridiculous the movie might be - highly recommended! seriously!)

Direct multiplayer PvP Combat: Second half of One (Metallica) - you know it if you know the song : )

Classic Rambunctious Inn: Gaston's theme from Beauty and the Beast

Cool. Seems like the guild has a fair number of people that geek out over music. I totally approve. Don't ask me about obscure songs though except for the ones I have already heard; but do tell me about them if they are worth mention.

Nice list so far and I am gathering it up to iTunes it soon.

On a side note, I think amazing music comes from all sources. I know of people that dismiss music from cartoons and video games often enough, but once they listen to the music proper they come around.

I love the WoW and Guild Wars soundtrack. Also Final Fantasy Orchestral performances, as well as the Metal versions thereof by Black Mages. Just something to look into if you didn't know about the latter

I'm still meditating on my character's essence as a whole but there is a definite playlist I listen to while playing WoW. One of my favorites being Question de Philosophie by Robert. The best is when you're flying between cities and this comes on. It's just amazing. It might suit my not-yet-made blood elf better though. I'm not sure.

Either way, it's an incredible song. Definitely brings out a softer side of Naenya.
