*Before the start of the Third War*nThaelen and Anaria's move to Dalaran made them feel like young lovers again. However, a shadow has been creeping up on Anaria in her dreams. Usually, she had stayed away from the shadow but when it would touch her, she felt like her life was leaving her body. One night, that dream came to full fruition when she woke up from a cold sweat after dreaming of becoming a banshee. Not even an embrace from Thaelen could calm her.nnOne morning, she overheard a conversation between Antonidas and some prophet who took the form of a raven. This strange prophet made mention of some shadow. Could this be the shadow in my dream? she thought. She was deep in thought before the mysterious prophet assumed his avian form and left. This time was also a beginning of isolation of Quel'thalas and started the fracturing of their House.nnAfterwards, there were rumors of a cult and a plague of undeath rising in the lands of the north. There were murmurings of atrocities committed by Arthas on Stratholme then he disappeared to Northrend. He left as prince but returned as a conqueror.nn*Before Arthas' return from Northrend*nnThe shadows haunting Anaria had calmed down but they were still present. She also felt something growing inside her: The next Frosthawk child. When Thaelen woke up she put his hand on her womb and said "Our heir." There was no jubilation in her voice. Thaelen replied "The shadows."nnIn Silvermoon, Islanna was seeing a man and invited Remtheras, Thieldren, and Leothiel to meet him. Remtheras had a warning for him: "Our sister's heart is not a toy. If you treat her heart like a plaything, we will rip yours out."

*Fall of the Sunwell*nnQuel'thalas' isolation from the undead plague meant Prince Kael'thas could not count on his allies to help him. When news of the Scourge army marching to Silvermoon had broke, both soldiers and civilians mobilized to protect their land. Remtheras and Thieldren were assigned to protect key ley lines in Eversong. Islanna had volunteered to protect the Sunwell. Her behavior was becoming odd in the past two months. She had been ill on some days. She then realized she was carrying an elfling. The day before the battle, she had seen the man she had been dating kiss another elfmaiden. Her weakened state and grief were the last things on her mind as the Scourge marched in and she died carrying the first grandchild of her parents.nn*Dalaran and the Flight to Ironforge*nnThe elves of Dalaran felt the Sunwell's defilement. Anaria was almost midway through her own pregnancy when she realized the real shadow of undead was going to turn on Dalaran. "We must leave now." Thaelen hesitated for one day. Soon, the news spread that the Scourge army, led by a converted Arthas Menethil, was heading their way. Thaelen started packing including the Kal'dorei trunk from their wedding.nnSome elves joined them in escaping Dalaran. The Scourge was one day away when the elfin refugees were trekking across the land down to Ironforge. They had to fight off and evade the remnants of the Dragonmaw orcs. Every step to Ironforge was a struggle. They took refuge in the temple.nnAnaria volunteered her services as a priestess. High Priest Rohan wondered "Yeh? While yer with child?" Anaria would not budge "I have trekked here in this state all the way from Dalaran. Priestly duties are not as demanding." One of the dwarf priestesses agreed. A few months later, Anaria gave birth to a girl named Vira.
