Battle of Bal'lal Ruins

Postby Leothiel » Wed Jun 18, 2008 1:23 pm

After a good day of studying the history of Azeroth and getting some matters settled with my escrow company, it was time for me to go out into the jungles of Stranglethorn and earn my recognition among the sovereign power of Orgrimmar. The work given to me involved killing some raptors 2-3 levels above me and trolls in the nearby Bal'lal Ruins.

I saw some fellow horde-in-arms in the ruins doing the same quests. I joined up with two taurens: A warrior named Insult and a druid named Farrik. Afterwards, I noticed that we were not alone: An alliance warrior named Slashblade backed up by a shaman named Fingranwe had similar quests and were not determined to let the horde have the ruins. They fared well against the Bloodscalp Trolls of the ruins but stood up to us very poorly. Even a dwarf hunter had some fun as well as a level 47 night elf warrior whom we killed three times before he got the clue to leave.

Before we knew it, we had a turf war on our hands. Even one of our highest level horde hunters showed up to free the ruins from alliance grasp. The matter was eventually settled by a level 70 rogue that was a friend of the alliance adventurers we kept killing.

This ended my first night in a small-scale battle that only strengthened my bonds with the horde. I am glad the Sin'dorei are members of the horde and I look forward to liberating the lands of the alliance's taint and cowardice.
