Conscript Leothiel?

Right after I hit level 49, I received something in my mailbox. It wasn't my weekly payment from escrow, which I received earlier in the day. It was a summons to report to Battlemaster Krukk in Silvermoon City for battle in Warsong Gulch. Yes, I've been drafted and it is my understanding that "conscript" is just another euphemism for "expendable cannon fodder." The alliance are my frost fodder.

The familiar smell of saw dust, and sound of splashing water, greets his sharpened feral senses as soon as he exits the portal. This leg of his training has lasted many moons. Aviv Springtotem's Shan'do required he devote himself to the Warsong Clan's plight against the Silverwings.

The yound druid would never complain to his Shan'do, the Forest Warden - Cenarius. He serves the demi-god religiously. The Dark Lady, his other master, whom he has seen but once isn't one to be known to send her troops to help the Warsong Clan. For this reason he was surprised to see a Blood Elf wearing the Nyx tabbard in the Hold he now stood in.

Aviv, touched the forces of nature around him, then felt out for Leothiel's mind, and blessed it with the Mark of the Wild. He did so to all the fighters gathered in the Hold, before shapeshifting in to a horned lion.

The sounds, and smells, suddenly intensified a thousand fold. He filtered them out, so that he could assense Leo's scent, and recognize it later in the heat of battle.

Aviv knew, on this day, the Silverwing's had no chance.

In, what seems to be ages past, I chronicled my master, Bael'spar "Guardian Fist" Mon'tisto's experience in Warsong Gulch. It was trying, and desperate. I can no longer tell who won or lost in those sets of engagements, but now it seems that I may be able to join the fight under the Nyx banner.

Would that the adage of the pen being mightier than the sword be more than metaphor. Then, might I smite a thousand foes. Instead, I shall skulk in the darkness in the hopes to catch the unwary. In that time, my daggers will fight for the honor of Lady Nyx and the Warsong Outriders.
