Asarelah’s hand rested on the cinch buckle of Blightwind’s breastplate, giving it a final pat as she lovingly secured it – he was very nearly always in his plate. Leaning in close she nuzzled his ear, about to whisper an endearment to guard himself, that he was precious cargo, when Thayrah’s voice rang outside the window.nn“Oracle, I have alerted Frosthawk, as you ordered, and I go to the breach. And your son sends word that Onei’s labor begins!!” Rah’s voice rumbled past and faded with distance as the Orc clearly did not slow down an instant.nnBlightwind slapped his sword, nodded and turned crisply on his heel, headed for the Frosthawk manse, with his beloved not one breath behind him.nnArriving at the manse, Asarelah moved quickly forward, ahead of her Consort, and opened the door to the sounds of much activity. ”Find Leo, Baby. Secure the house!” she said, squeezing Blightwind’s arm as she continued on to her daughter’s bed chamber.nnOneille was deep in labor, her face flushed and hair sweated. One glance told the Oracle it would not be long and that the birth was imminent. Ordering the hand maiden that was kneeling beside the bed, holding a cold cloth to Onei’s face and cooing soft words of encouragement to fetch needed supplies, Asarelah moved to take that place and see to her daughter’s immediate comfort. nnThere was a miasma of evil in the room that was overwhelming, and Lah could not detect the source. Mind Visioning Onei had failed in the past, the shield wall about the Warlock’s mind too rock solid. But Asarelah tried again, hoping with Onei’s concentration on the pending birth that a crack could be found to see what the matter was.nnThe Oracle rocked back on her heels, her hand going to her throat in shock and horror at what she “saw” in Oneille’s mind. Vesperantus tainted and holding the Nether Wraith at bay by main force, her daughter lay before her moaning in pain and struggling her mightiest to keep the fel powered One sequestered and away from the unborn child as the babe fought to force it’s arrival. And the immediate knowledge that Oneille believed her life forfeit at summer’s end brought tears coursing unbidden down Asarelah’s cheeks.nn“There, there daughter… I have never been as proud of you as I am at this instant. Let the child come, do not hold it inside. Release, and all will be well. You are protected, as will be your offspring. Let the child come….” Lah whispered as she gathered Onei in to her arms, motioning for the returning hand maiden to continue ministrations on the laboring woman. “Trystynna can’t touch you now my darling. Come now… Push... It’s time…”nnOneille’s eyes locked on her mothers, she bit her lip overwhelmed with trust, the relief that someone now knew what beset her palpable on her face, and with one nod of agreement she released her tightly held womb. The birth of the Frosthawk son came so quickly that the hand maiden was hard pressed to tend the matter, catching and wrapping the newborn in cloth and handing him to Asarelah, as she moved to tend Oneille further.nn“Announce to Lord Frosthawk that he has a Son that is fit, fine and appears healthy!” she called out blindly to folk gathered in wait outside the bedroom door. And with that the Oracle turned all her might and mind to weaving protections and lacing safeguards around the squirming crying infant and his exhausted mother.

Leothiel grabbed some clothes out of the wardrobe then dressed very hastily in the study. He summoned Azureus to have im fly around. Leothiel then checked the wardstones. All except one of them were good. Soon, he noticed a body of a wretched near the weak wardstone. The thing was still moving, albeit alive. "Magic.. I crave.. magic." The wretched went to siphon off Leothiel, who then Ice Blocked out of the magic drain. After Leothiel unfroze, he fired his flare gun then killed the wretched. Blightwind was first on the scene. Leothiel said "He will have to be buried later." Blightwind had a puzzled look on his face. "The wardstones give a near-lethal magic shock to anyone who attempts to siphon energy from them. They are perfect bait for the remaining wretched around here." Leothiel re-infused the wardstone. Soon, his ears picked up a new sound from the main house. My child he thought.nnThe thought would not stick with him for long. Two rangers on patrol showed up and Leothiel pointed towards the body of the dead wretched. Soon, Leothiel felt a magical surge. Azureus flew out of the house while the worg pup Kim was prowling. Leothiel signaled for Blightwind. Soon, a dreadlord appeared. Leothiel went to cast something, but was silenced while Blightwind was put to sleep by the invader. When Leothiel could speak, the intruder cast Sleep, but Leothiel pulled out with his Ice Block. The dreadlord exclaimed "You fool! Your consort belongs to the nether!" Blightwind was out of his sleep then the two went battled the dreadlord. The two rangers joined in. When the four had bested the dreadlord, he exclaimed "You have won now, but Oneille still belongs to us. We will claim her by right of her soul" then disappeared.nnThe rangers burned the body of the dead wretched. Leothiel went to the main bedroom where the child was born. "You have an heir."

Leothiel arrived in the bedroom going from fighting stance to more subdued. He took off his sword and leaned it next to a nightstand. Asarelah passed him the newborn son. What was left of his aggression turned to tears of joy. Leothiel was speechless. This is our son he thought, our flesh and blood. Our first child. The silence seemed to last a long time. It was also time to name the child. The recent fighting was pushed too far back in his mind and allowed his thoughts to clear and retrieve something from the books of his mind. Leothiel felt down the newborn's back. Mageblood he thought.nn"It is time to name our child" Leothiel said. Oneille replied "My lion, the naming is yours." Leothiel has had the name of a son stored in his mind ever since the night Oneille announced she was with child. He found himself holding this child that had been in her. While holding, he felt a supernatural connection that was both magical and spiritual. Leothiel drew from family history for names. "Our child's first name shall be Haeldrin. His second name is Remtheras." Haeldrin started to cry some more then Leothiel gently gave him back to Oneille saying "I think he is in need of his mother." Oneille put the newborn to her breast.nnAsarelah wondered about the name of Haeldrin since it was a Kal'dorei name. "It's from Frosthawk family hisotry. Would you like to join me in the study?" Asarelah followed him to the study. Leothiel pulled out a wooden chest. The carvings on it made Asarelah blush: It consisted of naked Kal'dorei figures. "I see you're turning blush. You may not want to see the inside." Part of Asarelah resisted, but even more of her was curious. Leothiel started tell her the tale of that chest. "It is family tradition that this chest goes to the first child in the family who marries. What goes in here is what a newlywed couple would have for their first night together as husband and wife." Leothiel opened the chest to the side of the desk then took out the cushions. The embroidery was very erotic and made Asarelah blush even more. Leothiel pulled out two sheets of parchment. One was the master record, the other one was a copy that he made after he and Oneille were married. "When you calm down, read the first name on the list." After Asarelah regained her composure, she saw the first male on the list as "Haeldrin Frosthawk." Leothiel then said "Remtheras is the name of the brother I killed when we found ourselves on the opposite ends of the same battle in Magister's Terrace. I cleansed his spirit the week Oneille and I were wed. Haeldrin is the first offspring of a mageblood elf. I have been the only one who has survived the transformation." Asarelah slowly walked out to visit with her daughter and newborn grandson. Leothiel put the chest back together and slid it underneath his desk. Afterwards, he wrote two notes: One to Thieldren and one to his family back in Stormwind. He summoned Azureus and sent him off to deliver the messages.nnThieldren stopped in later that day. By then, things had returned to normal in the Frosthawk house. Even Thieldren teared up holding a newborn baby. "Brother, I cannot sire any offspring but I will guard him as long as I have life." Haeldrin started to shiver from the cold then Thieldren passed him back to Oneille. Afterwards, the two brothers went to the study. The most immediate thing on Leothiel's mind was the recent battle and how Oneille's days were numbered. The next thing was a very unpleasant task. Thieldren asked "Do you think they are going to return?"nnLeothiel answered "This could be the last time we will see them."nn(( This is the last chapter of this part of the saga.
