(something I'm going to continuously write off and on about Tasera's past, bear with me. As you see it is not starting with Tasera herself though...you shall find out soon enough the importance of this troll))
The weather had been unrelenting for the past few days. But just in view the wide ocean began to calm. The small boat being carried by the charmed winds began to rush forward. In it, a male troll sat, a big grin curving his features, “TAZ’DINGO! “ He cheered, but alas the spirits of the wind and ocean where the only ones who heard his cheer. He was alone in this vast ocean. But still, he rejoiced
A day just past, a torrential storm caught the band of jungle trolls in the middle of the great sea. They had all been running, escaping the destiny of their kin, whose fate had been entwined in the will of the Soul Flayer, Hakkar. Their pace had quickened to do the charms placed on the small, quickly made vessels. Even with those as guides the devilish storm caught up to them, more then likely the work of the vengeful soul’flayer himself.
The troll was sure no one had lived; he had seen no signs of his compatriots in the waters. But that loss was not on his mind now, no, it was the vast stretch of land before him.
The great land of Kalimdor.
The boat pushed up onto the beaches edge, and the troll’s large feet touched the sand. The only real land he had felt in days. He stood up, tall, adjusting his shoulders, and holding good posture for a troll briefly to survey the area. Then resumed the usual hunched over position as he grabbed his few belongings. Before departing though, he kneeled down to the trollish idols that adorned the boat for safe guidance. In a hushed voice he began to say line of chants in the Zandali, releasing the powers that sped his craft through the waters.
He turned around and tried to get his bearings. The sun was well up for the day, and no stars could be found. The troll sighed and crossed his arms, “Dis no good. Da elders told me ta look to da stars, and we will find our new home from dere on…†He thought for a moment and looked to the ocean. “Ancestors please tell me dat dis feelin’ in my gut ain’t a false one. Lost bruddah’s and sistahs, ancestors please guide me safely “
He carried the wish to the wind as he pulled his few belongings up over his shoulders. It consisted of a fishing pole, a charmed spear, and small ritual totem. That was all. He had a destination, many of his kind have caught word of the coming of Hakkar over the voices and whispers of the sprits. Most villages, where expecting refugees.
Yet, this troll did not follow the shore to the north, he did not land to the south west, he had this misfortune of landing in the grim coastal lands of Darkshore. The residents had caught word of a troll in the area, and for the moment, where quietly keeping an eye on him. Pondering why this lone troll would be stupid enough to wander Darkshore alone. They would try to find out course, the Nightelves where not ones to let things go unnoticed.
