ImageImagennImagenn*a plain, brown book of decent size, with the inscription of a darkened female elven face on the front cover*nnLibris en Disciplina SombrannnWhat doth it mean to suffer? It is to be burned with fire, shackled in chains, whipped with rods, and killed with steel. Our enemies beseige us. nnLady Nyx, Mistress of Shadows! Give us strength, lend us aid. Day of wrath, night of vengeance, this is when the world shall be in ashes. When those who refute us are cast down into the searing flames, nothing shall remain unpunished. Discipline in Shadow! Glory, glory, forever!nnnThis is my accounting of what I have seen, mineself once known as Trentis Akaele. I once served the Holy Light. Now I instead find True Salvation in Shadow and Discipline. This shall serve as an accounting as to the Divine Superiority of Disciplina Sombra.nnAzeroth has been burned, its people torn asunder. In suffering, the people of Azeroth turned to the Holy Light. As the good folk seek power and truth in Holy Light, they instead find Blindness and Fire in the Searing Light. That which is Bright can also Burn. Let it be known, that Holy Light leads to uncontrollable Searing Fire, That Which Destroys. Only in Sweet Cold Darkness can folk find protection. Sweet Cold Shadows is the salve which folk put on the Horrendous Burns from the Searing Light. Shadow is a Great Mother. She feeds, she nurtures. Shadow is the sweet cold salve to place on one's burnt, blinded eyes.nnLet it be known, however, that one cannot find Ultimate Salvation in Sweet Cold Shadows, and Shadows alone, for Shadows hunger. Shadows can gnaw on one's mind, and drive one into the Vast Gaping Jaws of Death. This leads to the ways of the Scourge. However, The Muzzle of Grand Discipline can shut the Hungry Jaws of Gaping Shadow. Shadow is a great beast, and It hungers. Only Discipline grants True Salvation through Shadows. Let Grand Shadow be in your heart, while your hands grip the Stern Steel of Discipline!nnGlory, glory, forever!nnI learned of the fallacy of Holy Light when I stilldrew breath, when I served at Alonsus Chapel in Stratholme. In that place of Blinding Light, I served Alonsus Faol and Uther the Lightbringer. The folk thought them to be Champions of the People, but instead, they were in truth Beacons of the Blinding Light. They were the Burning Fires. Their uncontrolled passions were what led to the Burning of Stratholme, for they were truly blinded. We could not see that a wolf walked among the sheep. That vile wolf, the Traitor King of Jackals, Arthas Menethil.nnIn Stratholme, as one of the living, I was but a minor priest of the Burning Light. I did not know it, but in truth, the Light had burnt my eyes into hollowed-out sockets. Never once had I truly seen before. I helped gather the flock of the fattened living. I fed the fattened. I helped keep the people of Stratholme weak, reliant on Uther and his pawns.nnNay, I did not know that in tending the flock of the living, I would be laying out sweet sugar on the ground. The fattened living were but honey and sweet oats on which the coming Scourge would feed. The fattened living would die and make a sweet taste in the maw of the scourge. The Holy Light had made the living too weak. Mal'ganis and the Scourge feasted on the living of Stratholme. The living were but as a sweet nectar to the Scourge, and the Scourge grew stronger. The Scourge had embraced Glorious Shadow, but the Passion of Shadow had not been tempered with the Steel of Discipline. Thus, the Scorge sought to do nothing but throw all that lived into their rotted maw. Their wills were not their own. Then came Arthas and his fight against the Scourge.nnArthas Menethil! Shadow devoured his heart, and he would not embrace Cold Discipline!nArthas Menethil, I curse you! May crows pluck out thine eyes!nArthas Menethil, I curse you! The Forsaken shall rule over old Lordaeron forever!nArthas Menethil, I curse you! All shall spit upon thy name!nArthas Menethil, Thrice-Cursed! nnThe living made sweet treats for the Scourge! Damn their eyes! My futile attempts to save the living only sealed my death! Whereas my heart was overfilled with love for all, so was my heart weakened. My soul could not stomach horror. My heart could not bear any ache. I could not bear witness to things horrible! As I watched Stratholme and its people burn, as I was overcome by the vile plague of the Scourge, my heart was the first part of me to die.nnIn death, I found the Everreaching Tendrils of Shadow. These Tendrils have wrapped around my cold, dead heart. But the Cold Steel of Discipline protects me! Discipline not only keeps Shadows from crushing my heart, but Discipline intertwines with Shadows itself, and makes my cold, dead heart ever-so stronger!nnGlory, glory, forever!nnIn those days, I counted many townfolk as my friend. After all that has transpired, I now know that most of all who lived in Stratholme were weak, worthy of being nothing but feasts for worms. But some walked out of Stratholme with their free will intact. They walked with Sweet Shadow in their hearts, and Cold Discipline in their fists. They are truly blessed. Those who fought the Scourge in Stratholme and pressed on with souls bound by Shadow and Discipline, they have such spirits that Lady Nyx would smile upon.nnAs these dead eyes bear witness to events in these lands, so shall I write them in the Libris en Disciplina Sombran.
if Quentin Tarantino did movies in the World of Warcraft...
