SEE?
THAT is what I am always complaining about. My characters ALWAYS look like that second guy and I hate it!
My priest is my highest toon and he wears a lime green robe with purple trim! I can't even look at the screen when I play him.
Blizzard, listen up! In the next expansion, introduce CLOTHING AND LEATHER DYE!

Now that's hilarious!!!
Luckily, Dhaarga and Pollentia are stylin' usually actually all horde characters have been lucky. My Human Mage not so much but he was supposed to be mad so the crazy mismatch worked in an RP sense.
I have only had the clown syndrome on Dhaarga on occasion and currenly his tanking gear is a little less than stellar in appearance though. :p
Hope Blizzard introduces some color coordination options soon so I can be fashion conscious while I go fight the legions of Arthas's minions and grind their bones, rip their... ooooh shiny.

I have never once had to resort to mismatched armor as pictured. All the photos that say otherwise have been burned and witnesses paid off. You can't prove much.

or take a tip from SOE(everquest 2) and make apperance slots. they'd match all item slots and would be what you'd see, but would confer no bonuses

As I understand it, they're intentionally avoiding doing that, so that you can identify what your opponent is wearing in PvP through sight alone.
