Aleysia stood, glaring at the habitual statue of the Blood Knights as a messenger approached her. Turning to face the elf, she tilted her head slightly, murmuring faint words to protect herself should it be necessary. The messenger, who never introduced himself simply handed her a scroll, or a copy, she imagined, seeing as it didn't hold any seals of any kind.nnShe dismissed him and turned, slowly reading the scroll that had been passed to her. Faint creases of annoyance began to knit into her forehead and eventually, she grunted in displeasure.nn"It appears, my old friend, that I have some travelling to do." She said to noone in particular, giving a harsh whistle and her loyal proto-drake flying down to her side, "We leave this moment. We are to make sure the children are fine and then we fly on, to meet with my sister. She is probably going to need the aid of the Light." Mounting her steed, they took off into the sky, the powerful wings propelling them both forward.nn"Hold on, little sister. ...This one will see retribution at its best."

Ezraella sat in her chambers, watching the flow of what is, was and will be from within one of her old artifacts. She sighed, furling up a scroll, "So many things are happening now that everything is coming to a close." She shook her head faintly, drawing runes in the air, "...Neutrality seems to be the last thing on anyone's mind. ...Maybe that..."nnAnd then she disappeared, heading to find her own allies. ...She would need to do something completely insane to get them to see the truth. Well, she was known as the suicidal mage for a reason...nn(( The plot thickens. xD ))

The withered undead priest sat at a desk in a darkened room, a candlelight at his desk shining on the hearsthone that sat on the desk before him. His yellow eyes gazed upon the hearthstone. His garb was dark... dark enough so that its pattern and design could not be discerned. His darkened teeth could easily be seen, even more as he listened to the hearthstone. After his hearthstone went silent, he smiled.nn"Yes..... yes....This outsider is a fool. This .... hrmmm..... 'master' that is spoken of is nothing more than some mewling shadowy spirit with a faint ability to influence the weak-minded... yes.... most weak.... yes...nnIt is beyond the ability of most to accept that the fact that all life shall eventually end. Yes... it shall. Most consider death to a terrifying unknown that must be avoided at all costs. It’s little wonder, then, that people look into the eyes of a Follower of Lady Nyx and suddenly grow cold. Yes... most cold .... Yes..... we know death. We have seen death to such extremes that would shatter most minds... yes..... Followers of Lady Nyx who walk in the Shadows know death.... yes we do... and we know that it must and will come at some point. Sometimes we bring death with us. In such cases we are bound to give it to our enemies. Yes..... we give it to them... yes.... and we do not pretty it up at all... yes.... Cold death. Death.... death as such that I saw when Stratholme burned.... The Followers of Lady Nyx who walk in the Light also see the potential for rebirth, for the seeds of creation in the remnants of the past. I, myself, Trentis Akaele.... yes..... I am a Follower of Nyx who brings Death to the enemy. Shadow is mine ally.nnOutsiders cannot and will not understand the fact that Our Glorious Lady has shown us The Utmost Truth. Outsiders will always speak nonsensical rubbish, for their minds are cast out, unwelcome to the Ways of Truth. Can a dog speak about the great expertise evident in the great engineering of a castle? Can a worm understand how wondrous a great bard's songs sound? Can a bird appreciate the great craftsmanship to be seen in a carefully forged sword? Their minds are pitiful things, sheltered from harsh truths.... yes.... Such things are beyond fools.nnI shall, and will always, give aid to Cobriana and all brothers and sisters among the Fellowship of Lady Nyx. Those who have seen Her Truth... yes.... the Truth that Our Glorious Lady Nyx has shown to us are to be prized and cherished. When the night comes that I am finally destroyed, taken to the True Death, I shall spit in the face of our enemy even as they grind my bones to dust, even as they pluck mine eyes from their sockets, and even as they crush my skull. Lady Nyx is Our All, our Truth. Lady Nyx has led us to Truths.... such Glorious Truths that most will never see. Outsiders have too feeble of the mind to know such things, and we should not expect them to. HATE our enemies.... but yes.... we should not be surprised by their ignorance... yes...... Pity them not.... bring them death of great swiftness and fury...."nn"To be burned with fire, shackled in chains, whipped with rods, and killed with steel. n Our enemies beseige us. O Lady Nyx! Give us strength, lend us aid. n Day of wrath, that day shall consume the world in ashes. n When our enemies are cast down into the searing flames, nothing shall remain unpunished.n Glory, glory, forever!"

Aftermath

Heaving a sigh, the Druid stowed his staff and mace against the wall.nnAs he closed the door behind him and stepped into his new home, he took stock of his new abode.nnNothing was put up yet; boxes littering the floor and making even walking across the room a monumental task. nnHis plants were starting to take hold, growing into the walls and the floor, their roots settling into the wood and the stone.nnIt still didn't feel like home. nnMoonglade seemed to have changed underneath his feet.nn"What became of the meeting?"nnThere was the voice, the Sunwalker.nnThe Druid looked the room over; catching not even a glimpse of the fellow Tauren.nnBut he knew this trick; he knew this drill.nnMaking his way through the boxes, the Druid took a seat at his table, at one of the only two seats present.nnOne at each head of the table, as though it was never meant to seat anyone but the owner.nnAnd, surely as rain, as he sat down, the sunwalker appeared across from him, sitting in unison with him.nnThe unnaturally black fur of the Sunwalker clashed with his own brown, but the Druid never could get over how similar they looked, how similar they walked, how similar they talked.nnSetting his hands down on the table, the druid responded, "The cultist appeared, just as predicted. There was a warrior there as well, by chance, I would assume. We removed the cultist before she became too much of a threat."nn"And then?"nn"She vanished, using shadow magic akin to a rogue's to vanish."nn"What did you do?"nn"I followed her."nnThe Sunwalker smiled, "It's good to know that nothing slips by you."nnThe druid sighed, "I would hope so. They're already giving us enough trouble in the highlands already, we don't need them hunting our Nightwarders."nn"What is your next move then? Wait for them to show again?"nn"Of course not. I will not cede initiative to a single crazed cultist."nnThe Sunwalker leaned back in his chair, his heavy plate armor clanking as he moved.nn"How do you know that there is only one?"nn"Because she called for backup through a stone, and none came. Maybe we ran her off before they could arrive. But the point stands."nn"Even if she were powerful enough to call followers to herself, she is obviously not at all well prepared. They should have been ready to arrive at any moment, it was at least five or six from that time until she was vanquished."nnThe Sunwalker nodded.nn"Don't accept things at face value, ever. That's how you get caught unprepared."nn"That's how good warriors get killed."nnThe Druid nodded.nn"That's why I'm going to need your help, as much as I might detest it."nn"I don't want to wander into this fight blind without someone I can depend on."nnThe Sunwalker smiled and leaned forwards.nn"Are you finally coming to terms with me?"nn"No. Not at all. I am, however, learning that you can be useful."nnAt that, the druid stood and stepped back from the table; the conversation was over.nnHe drew his cloak up around him and stepped towards the door; he needed to get to work.nnPreparation.nnStopping in the doorway, he turned to look over his house one last time.nnWas it home? Could it be?nnThe windows, the dressers, the bed, they were all his. And yet, they all felt so foreign.nnEverything, except the table.nnEverything except the table and the great mirror that hug above its center.
