Hunched over in the dim light a small figure wrote onto a dark parchment. Upon closer examination the figure is that of a female elf. Her name is Oneille Frosthawk. She is quietly dictating the current events as of late, since the opening of Icecrown Citadel and it's gates. Head tilted to the side her memory reels back to the scenes of the earlier day. Several bones guards went rushing towards her and her colleagues. In a haze of yellowed bone, fire magic, and battle cries the group of five sallied forth into the darkened womb that is Icecrown. nnMany brave souls currently fight on their own accord but...what is their reason...what brought them there?nn--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------nnI propose a contest (details are still being fleshed out)! I am eager to hear of the tales of those who've ventured into ICC as of late...you cannot simply walk into this place of cold, decay, and ebony seduction without some reason (and please epics aside I know you've reason!). With ICC content here and now most of the tribe has gone into the heroics searching for better gear. This is all and well but now you've done it! You've incurred my creative streak! Here we go!nn*Proposing for the contest is to document your adventures into either a five man dunegon or the raids. Screenshot yourself, your group, your whatever and spin us a tale.nn*Encouraging our guild to treat the new content as less of a grind and more of a artist's pallet. It's easy to forget that we are an RP guild so take time out and just RP!nn*No deadline as of late. Take your time and just let the energy flow.nnI know this is thrown out there but just enjoy what we're planning!

As I was unaware Oneille made a post regarding this earlier (My apologies to her, scrambling for a few things and coming off meds meant I didn't pay enough attention and missed her post. Sorry!), I made a redunant one earlier. It has been deleted, and the text that was in my post is as follows:nn
nnSo sorry about that!I really hate to use the word "contest", but there's not much better that fits the context of this. nnThe Ward of Lore brings to you what will hopefully be the first in a series of writing and lore challenges and contests. What is this contest? It is part writing competition, part lore exercise.nnWith the recent release of Icecrown Citadel and the five man dungeons that come with it, several among Tribe Nyx have their in character reasons and extraordinary circumstances leading them into the Lich King's fortress, leading them to bring the fight to Arthas - or what's left of him - themselves. So, we in the Lore ward pose this question:nnWhat's your reason?nnYour task is to journey into the five man dungeons of Icecrown Citadel (The Forge of Souls, the Pit of Saron, and THe Halls of Reflection), and chronicle your characters journey and in character experiances and motivations using a mixture of prose and screenshots. This can be accomplished any number of ways. Examples include taking numerous screenshots, using simple captions to tell the story, a short story supported by occasional images, or even turning your screenshots into a short graphic novella of sorts. The means you use to tell your story are yours to determine, the only requirement is that you use both written word and screenshots to tell it.nnSo, what do you get for your effort? The top three posted stories of the journey through Icecrown Citadel's dungeons will receive both a gold prize for their effort, as well as a featurette about their story in special editions of the Nyx Gazette.nnA thread designed for the posting of these stories will be up this weekend, this is simply the announcement, but don't let that prevent you from getting started on your story! The deadline for submissions is currently undetermined, but keep an eye out!nnPlease direct any questions of concerns to this thread, and we hope to see everyone participate!n

Ashsaber you've spurned me for the last time
kidding!nnStorytelling is a most time honored tradition among clans, tribes, cultures, and peoples. The oral tradition is the vocal record of history, knowledge, and documentation long before pulp was turned to paper. That is why pening the story with visuals adds to what oral story telling cannot give.nnAn idea for our tribe is to tell the adventures you've gained. Stories define and shine light upon circumstances we've may not seen before in a character's life. In the novellas you write for the so-called "contest" you're exacting a written biography or memoir. Even if you're gunshy and would rather not participate you're more than welcome to submit stories through PM or email. nnNot everyone feels comfortable telling or writing a story but try. If you need help with editing, let us know. Happy to help!nn-Oneille Frosthawk
