Updating my Roster Entry
Okay, I must be rather challenged; could someone tell me what I'm doing wrong when attempting to upload my CharacterProfiler.lua to the roster? I keep getting the following error:nnParsing filesnn * Error while parsing CharacterProfiler after 0 secondsn * [] does not exist or is not readable by PHPnnnI know I'm using the correct .lua file as I can open it in a text file and see all the saved information. Also, is there anyone could could coach me on how to set up UniUploader? I really have no idea or what to put in that program; what URL specifically, if I need to use my forum login information, ect. I'd very much like to stay up to date, but haven't been having a lot of luck thus far.

You'll need to talk to Aitana. The guild roster on this site needs to be updated to reflect your membership. Currently it doesn't see you as a guild member, hence the 'does not exist' statement.

I've been having similar issues. But since I'm a web developer, I figured it was my fault.

nnThat may have more to do with the hosting.. It's a craps shoot whether the website will even load for me during prime time. Must be something big going on in the world of Pokemon right now.Asarelah wrote:I tried to update mine, and failed. Got an error message "404" and updater not found.

Re: Updating my Roster Entry
I've never used Uniuploader so there's not a lot I can help you with in using it. I posted directions on how to update your information to the roster here by manually using the update screen. nnI do have a couple things for you to check though. First of all, you still have to have the character profiler mod. You can get it at http://www.rpgoutfitter.com/Addons/CharacterProfiler.cfm. This mod records your character's info so it can be loaded to the roster. Make sure you have the mod loaded and active. It saves the data in a file called CharacterProfiler.lua.nnAs I said, I haven't actually used Uniuploader, but it must require you to tell it where to find CharacterProfiler.lua. The correct copy is located in C:Program FilesWorld of WarcraftWTFAccount{your account name here}SavedVariables. There is another copy of that file in the mod subdirectory, but it is empty. Make sure you have Uniuploader pointed to the correct copy of the CharacterProfiler.lua file.

Re: Updating my Roster Entry
I had already read the mentioned link, and am using the correct file from the correct location. It still does not want to work. It still gives me the parsing error. I'll try deleting the .lua again, recapturing the information and we'll see if that helps.nnAs for the UniUploader, the only thing I wasn't sure of is the URL I need to tell it to send the .lua file to. But I can do it manually, that doesn't really bother me. But for the fact that the manual attempts don't seem to be working or updating my profile in the roster, either. >.<;; Which all in all is a fairly tiny concern. I just rather like how all that extra information looks on the roster. Hehe.

nnOr C:UsersPublicGamesWorld of WarcraftWTFAccount{your account name here}SavedVariables if you are running Windows Vista or Windows 7.Aitana wrote:I've never used Uniuploader so there's not a lot I can help you with in using it. Re: Updating my Roster Entry
Some errors are server related and some are relate to the version of the mod and the roster page and database.nnThere are times when I get a parsing error and it seems to be relating to tree form. nnWe have been having problems with the server farm that hosts this site over this past week. Sometimes things get really slow because of the other sites that use this farm, but this week in particular has been a particular problem.
