Druids of the Cavern

Postby Leothiel » Fri Jun 06, 2008 9:03 am

When I arrived in Orgrimmar last week to be formally recognized as a member of the horde, I thought I was just another minority in the new world of the orcs. I have cleaned out Durotar and took care of some Burning Blade infestations before getting knee-deep with the sons of Agamaggan. The real beginning started off with the strange character of the oases of the Barrens. That led me to the Archdruid Hamuul Runetotem, who in turn referred me to Nara Wildmane. An enclave of druids who have gone from their druidic path were the ones that gave the Barrens oases their unusual properties.

I grouped up with some like-minded adventurers last night whose names escape my memory at this point. The group included two fellow Sin'dorei (another mage and a rogue), and two members of the Forsaken (a good priest, and a tank whose mind seemed to be more rotted than her skin). We sought out the druids, who were more than happy to welcome us with open arms casting their hostile spells at us. We successfully ended the corruption of the Barrens with only two deaths despite our frenetic pace.

Back in Thunder Bluff, Nara rewarded me with a nice staff that was better than the one I had from saving Quel'thalas. Those nightmares are now over and it is time to see what else the new world of Kalimdor have to offer.

(( They are called Druids of the Fang, actually. ))

This is where I always get confused. Typically, druids with horns are good, no horns are bad. Then, you get ones with fangs. Where do they fit in this hierarchy?

I think that the druiding community has some explaining to do, as I always have.

I once attempted to find out what some druids in Stonetalon Peak had against Breilen, a Sin'dorei mage, and they attacked me. Perhaps, they had gone too far to the feral. I hope that such an affliction doesn't happen to our druid friends.

I hope our druids don't get tainted either. Power is something to be claimed when offered, but it is possible for that power to completely conquer us, like it did with my king.
