Account's been Hacked.

I logged on for the first time in a weeks today to find that I have been banned from the game. As the last time I logged on all I did was EoE with the guild I don't know how I was cappable of "Spam and Insulting Language" so I have no idea whats going on, my password has been changed so I'm just canceling my subscription. Sorry this has to happen guys D: IDK when I'll be able to start playing again. So anything my hacker says or does is not my doing sorry! D: ((I don't wanna level again T_T))

Sorry to hear that happened to you Liolaton. My account's been hacked twice over the past few years, however both were instances where I kinda brought it upon myself, underestimating just how far hackers will go to get your information...nnFirst thing you'll want to do is change your password. I couldn't tell if you said you'd done it or if you meant whoever hacked you did it, but so long as your account is linked to a Battle.net account you should be able to change it again. Now if they'd changed the account's email address, then you'd be in trouble. Oh, and if your hacker changed the account and you haven't changed it to something else, keep in mind that despite cancelling your subscription, they CAN take over the payments and in turn control your account if they wish. This would normally just be a problem for you, but there's also the chance that they could jeopardize Nyx in various ways.nnSecond, send Blizzard an email, even if the ban is temporary. Tell them the last time you played before you received the ban, and that you believe your account was hacked after that time. Chances are they won't respond for a week or so, but once they do they may take a look at your character's activity, see if anything was lost. I've heard a lot of mixed reactions to their ability to restore items, but from personal experience they actually tend to do a good job (when they do it).nnFinally, when all is said and done and if you choose to return, reinstall all your addons and make sure no weird processes are active when you start WoW as they could be keyloggers. Double check for spyware and/or viruses on your computer. If you REALLY want to cover all bases, backup vital info and do a full restore on your computer. Only reinstall WoW after putting antivirus and antispyware back on your computer.

Thanks Thanoss. The Password is completely different, I've emailed Blizz about it. It may be that I need to cancel my old account and Start anew. T_T If it comes to that I'm going to use it as an RP opportunity but I still really don't wanna do 1-80 again D: No, i do not use an authenticator.

Yes Lah, Loil should be removed from the guild for the time being. It MAY be that I have to start a new account. And if that happens, well then Loil wont be coming back D: But I hope to have this sorted out quickly. I'll post an update here when something happens.

Liolaton, should you decide to create a new account, don't worry too much about the getting to 80 part. I (and I'm sure others) would love to help you get back into things, whether it be gold, dungeon runs, whatever.nnIf you need help let me know, I know a LOT of ways to level and make gold quickly (and no, I don't mean the scams some people are referring to when they say that).
