nI am not excited about RealID at all unless it comes with a means to be invisible for those times I just want to be alone.Eione wrote:Good point, though I think 3.3.5 is going to drop soon. Extended maintenance last week for some realms was supposedly for 3.3.5 plus there was that official email the other day about RealID, which I'm very excited about! Being able to pester my family members who play from whichever realm I'm on is going to be awesome.

nnRealID is optional.. You don't HAVE to use it.Aitana wrote:nI am not excited about RealID at all unless it comes with a means to be invisible for those times I just want to be alone.Eione wrote:Good point, though I think 3.3.5 is going to drop soon. Indeed. Sadly the only option is to either use it or do not use it. There are no other options within the function itself. Use it all or not at all.

nnThat could be subject to change.. It is still in beta after all, so it's entirely possible that privacy settings have not yet been implemented.Laurelbeard wrote:Indeed. Re: Cataclysm News Flood!
What they need is an "invisible" function. Though last time I read up big on RealID they mentioned different tiers of accessibility, though it looks as if they have changed this somewhat since then. They do have "online" "away" and "busy" statuses so if they don't end up including an "invisible" mode it'd be pretty lax on their behalf.nnLooks like it's going to work the same as Steam currently does, know what your friends are playing while their playing etc. Despite all that only a few people will make it to my RealID friends list though, my closest friends and some family members who play.nnhttp://us.battle.net/realid/faq.html

Haha that's great, Orgrimmar gets a complete overhaul while Stormwind looks more or less the same. It's good to be Horde...

nnThat's because Stormwind is fine the way it is, while Orgrimmar is a shanty-town. : )Thanoss wrote:Haha that's great, Orgrimmar gets a complete overhaul while Stormwind looks more or less the same. It's good to be Horde...

No invisible function and friends of friends can see you by default. RealID = real pain. *waits for patch*

So far I like it.. Still waiting for you assholes to add me though. : )nnI'm also loving the new chat frame improvements. It's nice to finally not have to type /o constantly, since the editbox now defaults to the last channel or whisper you spoke in.
