I decided to revive this ages-old thread as it holds a great deal of importance in the RP life of our guild.nnIhve, Pronounced 'eve'.nOriginally named ihwh (still pronounced eve) an undead priest, which is taken from the hebrew tetragrammaton (washes hands and keyboard) YHWH.nI though it would be awfully ironic to make him undead, but i decided on a race change to a troll and called it ihve which is a bit easier to figure out how to pronounce.

Desias (Des-ee-ass)- worked around the name of the enemy characters in the game, "Tales of Symphonia", Desians, just cause it sounded kinda cool. No relation to each other in any way.nnWylenus & Brekton- Just clicked randomize, altered the names, and said it out loud until I was satisfied. No relation to anything really.nnEdit:nnMandougal: Name for my soon-to-be worgen rogue, Angus Mandougal. What can I say, I love Scotland.nnMy resto goblin shaman will most likely be done in the same manner as Wylenus and Brekton, only with numerous k's or z's.

Des the fact that you just mentioned Tales just blew my mind xD I knew your name sounded familiar now I know where you got it hehennLeoness:nWell, obviously Leoness (Lee-oh-ness)) Is kinda self explanatory. I actually got it when I first got BC and I made my first Blood Elf hunter and I was browsing threw the hair styles. I found one that looked rather like a Lion's mane and I went from that. So from the word "Lioness" I came up with Leoness. Her name had to have a dash above the E when I moved her to ED because the name was already taken. Not to mention I absolutely adore lion's irl and I wanted her to have a strong graceful personality.nnLyndravia:nMy priest Lyndravia (Lin-Dra-vee-ah)was based after one of my first Paladin's (aka her mother) I had made a very long time ago named Deydralyn (Day-dra-lin) So I took the Lyn from the Paladin's name and just added a snazzy ending, nothing to special :]nnXalodia:nFunny story. My friends and I were actually coming up with OC characters that involved Organization XIII from Kingdom Hearts II. I came up with the name Xalodia ( Zal-low-Dee-Ah) When we were working on all of that stuff. She was originally a Dreanei Paladin until I moved her to a BE and over to Nyx at lv40.nnHiikaru:nHiikaru will be the name of my Worgan Hunter when Cataclysm comes out. Warzen : comes from the first 3 letters of my first and middle name ( Warren Zenatine) its a code name given to me by the banshee queen when she assigned me to the shadow covent.nnImrikk : ( I misspelled the name in creation was suppossed to be Imrik ) Named after the high elves dragon prince in Warhammer Fantasy, although asked some players have made the refrence to the "Chappelle Shows" IM RIKK JAMES!!nnAvalanä : Made and lvled to 80 in a 6day played time to piss hinik off and others of koe / after she reached 80 she was to become engaged to warzen but due to a loss of humanity she has backed away since her previous partner left her for another woman and has issues with that still. (( Currently i am using her to make 100-500g a day transmuting)) She gets whispers from players of old kote that transfered to horde side all the time.

Thanoss - Back some years I played on a text-based MUD called StickMUD. In this game I joined the ninja guild. I got along with everyone there except one of the leaders of the guild, named Thanoss. Because of our hostile relationship, I've always attributed his name to imply evil. After using the name myself for awhile, some people have told me it is strikingly similar to the names Thanos and Thanatos, both names found in comics as well as mythology, both characters being evil and defiant in some way or another.nnSolthas - My first endgame character was (surprise) a blood elf warlock named Thanoss on the Bloodscalp server. While on Bloodscalp, I developed a friendly rivalry with a paladin named Solthas. While I was able to overwhelm him at first, he eventually went on to return the favor. In time we both disappeared from the server, as I began playing on Shattered Halls shortly after. Since WotLK came out, I've made 2 death knights, both named Solthas after my old rival. The name itself also implies darkness, and can be loosely interpretted to mean "without light".nnSoleon - Made only as a complimentary name to Solthas, this time meaning "abundance of light". On Emerald Dream, Soleon is Thanoss' oldest brother, a paladin with an unwavering allegiance to the Light.nnArkaos - A mix between the words "ark" and "chaos", to symbolize a great power with unpredictable results or aim. On Emerald Dream, Arkaos is Thanoss' slightly older brother, a ranger turned hunter who acts emotionally unpredictable.nnKross - A name I found appropriate for the personality. On Emerald Dream, Kross is a shaman who prefers to use the powers of nature for destruction and carnage rather than to help Azeroth in any way.nnVoxis - His name was developed around his originally intended personality, that of a rogue who was a lousy thief because he liked to run his mouth constantly, whether it be to brag about crimes he was involved in, or simply to annoy people obviously more powerful than him. I've since been working to change his personality, since his original one wound up annoying people both in AND out of character.nnLocayne - Actually, this name was taken from an old online fantasy wrestling web site I was involved in some years back. One of the wrestlers was named Seth Locayne, the acting chairman to the league who was constantly shrouded in mystery. On Emerald Dream he's a mage, currently with no developed backstory or personality.nnReikos - My first druid to get past level 10 was on the Cenarion Circle server. His name was Dreikos (meant to sound like Dracos), however he was often called "Reik" for short. I've since meshed the nickname with the original. On Emerald Dream, Reikos has been my night elf druid, however once Cataclysm hits I will be deleting him and making him into a troll druid instead (and yeah, I'm still working on a story that would somehow explain this).nnDosimun - Taken from StickMUD, the same place I got Thanoss' name. On StickMUD, Dosimun was an infamous priest known for often killing other players without reason. On Emerald Dream, Dosimun is a scorned priest with a deep hatred for Solthas (not gonna spoil why :P).

Darkclouded:nnEssentially a mix between irony and a title. Irony in the sense that I made a character with a name that would usually be associated with "oh he has some sad past or something" and play dark with as much humor and smiling as I can manage. A title because when I was making the name, and I had played other games with RP servers before, I thought that if I had to a title would make it easier to come up with backstory.nnZerenmaki: Just an attempt at a unique name. originally a human priest on silverhand server but I deleted that character a long time ago and used the name for my priest alt here.
