Biography:

When Curon was born, the Elves had separated themselves from the rest of the world, and despite their location in regards to the human nation of Lordaeron, they did not meddle in the affairs of men. Even so, Curon was a care-free child in his youth, playing in the sun, exploring the forests of Quel'Thelas, bathing in the streams, interacting with the wildlife...he had not a care in the world. Even in his youth, he had a fascination with pretty gems and stones, which would inevitably fuel him to become a Jeweler as a hobby, and eventually, a profession. However, unlike some of his fellow peers, Curon was not so easily entertained. He had heard stories about mighty heroes and warriors and decided that he, himself, wanted to be a defender of Quel'Thelas. Of course, many did not like the fact that the youth wanted to go into battle lightly, for war and death are grim ventures indeed.

However, the years Curon lived for eventually matured the youth to a sensible and wise adult, and a cunning warrior. With the death of his parents and he, himself, the single son of his name, he was looked upon the maintain the honor of the Hifor name.

At the age of 198, already considered an aged warrior, Curon Hifor was one of the host sent to aid the Alliance of Lordaeron, set to fight against the ever-expanding Orc horde. Though many of his bretheren were adept with their bows and marksmanship, Curon was more at home with his blades, 'up-close-and-personal' against his foes where even the slightest mistake could prove fatal. It was there, amongst mankind, that Curon was introduced to the Order of Light, as well as Uther the Lightbringer himself. Under the Human Paladin's guidance, Curon joined the ranks of the Knights of the Silver Hand, despite the original contempt of some of his bretheren. However, despite the sacrifices and minor victories the Alliance of Lordaeron achieved, the Horde continued to press closer and closer, until defeat seemed imminent. Known for his foresight, Curon began to help the townsfolk and soldiers make preperations to fall back to Quel'Thelas, where the Orcs would surely go after Lordaeron fell. However, the highly-anticipated charge never came: In fact, the Orcs began to fall back to more secure positions. The Orcs had suffered a betrayal, and while they focused on dealing within their eternal affairs, the Alliance rallied and began pushing the Orc horde back south, towards the Ruins of Stormwind, and eventually, to defeat of the Orc Horde.

Overjoyed with the victory, Curon left the humans to the tasks of rounding up and imprisoning the Orc hordes, and returned to Quel'Thelas, where, along with his other Elven bretheren, were regarded as heroes. Merely two years later, however, a force of Orcs rampaged out of the Dark portal, and stole many artifacts which were enchanted. Summoned by the other Knights of the Silver Hand, Curon reluctantly retrieved his armor and weapons and rejoined the Knights in an attempt to enter the Dark Gate and attack the Orc Horde on their home turf: Draenor. Curon had grown comfortable in his life at Quel'Thelas, along with a family (wife and four children), and to be parted with them caused him much internal strife, enough that some other Paladins of the order questioned his loyalty. Silently stoic, Curon performed his assigned duties as well as he could, despite the chaos that had erupted on Draenor. However, the leaders of the Allianced decided that, with their sacrifice, they would destroy the Dark Portal. As the Orc Hordes charged towards the gate in order to enter the safety of Azeroth, Curon was suddenly hamfisted by an Orc, and knocked unconscious. Awakened by the sound of tinging bells, Curon awoke to find himself in Azeroth! Somehow, he had been pushed through the portal just before it had closed! Dodging Orc patrols and other creatures, Curon finally reached the safety of the Forests of Lordaeron, where he spread the message: Draenor and the Dark Gate had been vanquished.

From then on, Curon was regarded as both a Hero for fighting the orcs and something of a deserter, for being the only individual alive from the encounter. Curon and his family, from then on, led a mixed life of renown and whispered arguements. He was largely uninformed about Thrall's conquest against Lordaeron's internment camps during this time, and to be perfectly honest, Curon probably would have kept his attention in Quel'Thelas even if he had known. Without an official summons from the Knights of the Silver Hand, Curon was largely doing as he pleased, pursuing a peaceful life as a Jeweler. In more ways than one, Curon was actually glad that the Elves had withdrawn their allegience to the Lordaeron Alliance, allowing the Elves to settle internal matters.

However, when an attack from a strange, undead force attacked Lordaeron, Curon received official summons to aid the Knights of the Silver Hand. Once again, Curon reluctantly oblidged and raced to Lordaeron on his Hawkstrider and began to aid Uther and Arthas to finding a way to stop the plague. Curon was not, however, one of the Paladins to travel with Arthas to Northrend, seeking to try and stem the tide on the home front. When Arthas had returned from Northrend, however, his actions shocked many far and wide. With the fall of Lordaeron, Curon was inevitably stuck between the humans that were on exodus from the human lands and the evil undead, unable to return to Quel'Thelas as the Death Knight, Arthas, laid seige to the beautiful lands of the Elves. When the Sunwell's power was corrupted and shattere, Curon immediately went into withdrawal, going into violent spasms. When the fit passed, he felt drained and fatigued beyond recognition, his voice and face devoid of color, but his determination still remained.

Once the main force of the undead treaded south, Curon was able to reach the ruined land of Quel'Thelas, and joined the ranks of Kael'Thas and the forces he led. Like his bretheren, he became Sin'dorei, Blood elf. Overcome with grief with the destruction of his homeland and the death of his family, Curon withdrew from his normally social behavior and became somewhat introvert. However, despite his bretheren, he did not partake in the demonic energies of his bretheren, and while he still calls himself 'Blood Elf' in rememberance to the fallen, he relies on the energies of the Light to sustain him, despite the constant, never-ending hunger for arcane energy. He refuses to be a part of what he originally vowed to fight against. However, the humans were not able to see things that way, and despite his loyalty to the church of Light, Curon was excommunicated. From there, he became a Blood Knight.

((OOC: Critiques and suggestions welcome. I'm still in the process of figuring out how he came to join the ranks of Nyx, and any suggestions or help in that matter would be most welcome!))

It appears that Lady Nyx has once again submitted unto us another strange bedfellow. Well, at least you chose well in following Kael'thas, many of his own people have turned their back to him. Some have even gone so far as too attack him. Shameful, I know.

While the mannerisms of our new allies are strange and unrefined, you will hopefully grow to judge them more on their merits than their odours. I, personally, am glad to have another Blood Knight in the ranks.

((The story is good, it will be interesting to see how you come to grips with your new allies. Lady Nyx chooses us in accordance to her own plan. We will just have to see how she wanted you to fit in.))
