Cross Faction Transfers

Hello,

I'm Loistradyn, one of the founders of the guild <Republic>, you may have seen us at some of the Strand of Fate events. We discontinued going after Kingship took charge, but that is another matter.

I came here to inform you guys that part of our guild is branching off when the cross faction transfers occur to create an enemy guild for the Republic to battle against. We want to make a guild that worships Ula'Tek (http://www.wowwiki.com/Ula-Tek) and will have a lot of elements of the Forgotten Realms drow society, sort of an anti-thesis to the ideology of the Republic, which values liberty, privacy, and individuality.

We wanted to let you guys know well in advance to try and gain the support of the RP community Horde side before we get boots on the ground there trying to set everything up. We thoroughly enjoyed the Strand of Fate events and look forward to working with you all as hopefully partners instead of opponents. I'm glad to hear that some roleplayers are looking to switch faction to Horde when it is made available.. Unfortunately, we don't really know how the paid faction changes are going to work on PVP servers yet. Since you can't have alliance and horde characters on the same server unless you have 2 accounts. I'm hoping either they drop that rule when they implement the changes, or they charge a flat fee to switch ALL characters on the account, since $40 per character can be a lot when you have 9 characters.

Also there has been a lot of speculation that it will be limited(like transfers) depending on the server population and the Alliance:Horde ratio. But you shouldn't have that problem since IIRC there are a lot more alliance on Emerald Dream than Horde. There has also been speculation that you will be able to choose your race. I kind of wonder if this will affect classes that have race restrictions.. For instance, Night Elves can't be Paladins, but if they changed it... Having a Paladin that can Shadowmeld would be sweet. Most likely though, the race restrictions will stay in place, so if you're a Paladin going Alliance to Horde you'd be stuck with being a Blood Elf, but in the reverse situation you'd get the option of Human/Draenei/Dwarf. Death Knights obviously win on this one, although I can't imagine Lokimar as a Gnome. :p

Personally, I wouldn't mind giving the converts some type of loyalty test. I wonder how the mounts will be handled as well.

Last thing: If you're going to play a Blood Elf, be flamboyant.
