Greed Goblin usually writes about AH related stuff but is currently is in the middle of an AWESOME series of blog posts. He mentions in one post that there is a guild raiding Ulduar 10 in all blues.

Re: The myth of gear
Basicly all that assured me was "If your in epics and bad, your even worse than I thought".
And should self educate or ask more questions to learn and better yourself.

"The Chooser of the Slain,"
"Battle Maiden" be her names,
Yet others has the valkyrie,
To those whose kin she claims.
To the widows and the orphans,
An Angel of Death is she,
The Thief of Their Beloved,
The Accursed Valkyrie.

Re: The myth of gear
While I agree with his general premise somewhat (gear does not = skill), I find his evidence to include an innacurate read on the history of raiding skill in vanilla WoW, math that is both incomplete and incorrect and a tone that is oft used in service of a elitist and/or biased perspective (WOW is worse now, because its too casual oriented). Its generally been my observation that groups making the claim that "WoW is currently too easy", or that it "caters too much to the casual player" are, at best, not looking at the history of the game objectively and at worst, simply bemoaning that a subset of the population that were often artificially elevated are now, no longer as exclusive as they once were. At least Greedy seems to be more in the former category than the later, but surely he could see how his plan for "paying to enter a raiding group" is frought with problems. Wow is not notably easier or harder than it was in the beginning and there are not any more or less, good or bad players by percentage. Sure there are some really great players out there and some horrible ones too, but the only change Blizzard has made is that they've allowed greater access to the content for all players. Purpled up or not, if you're bad player (or group) you won't do as well as a skilled player (or group) in the same scenario. Tearing down the myth that you have to be in all epics to be good is fine, but to assume that there are more bad players now and that you should weed them out through a payment plan seems a bit naive.
