Forum suggestion about raids

Postby Thomasbecket » Sat Sep 19, 2009 7:36 am

Two things

1) I'm signed up for our 3 leg of Uld 10 tonight (Saturday, 9/19) but there's a slight chance that I might be unable to make it. If I'm not on within 20 minutes of our go time, replace me. I will more than likely be there but I don't want to delay the raid while people wait, wondering where I am.

2) It occurs to me that we should have a designated area in the forums for just this sort of announcement (or if there already is one, I'm not sure where it is). Unfortunately, due to the nature of my job, I can't always walk out the door at 6 or 6.30 every night - emergencies crop up. This is likely the case with many of us. If that happens on a raid night, it would be great to just hit the forum and post it so the RL knows as far in advance as possible (it should also be a forum to which our RL's are always subscribed). I doubt any of us can actually log onto WoW from work and announce an raid absence in /gchat.

Anyway, just a thought. I'll likely see you guys tonight, as we butt our heads into Uld again.

You can always log into the wowarmory and use the calendar feature to remove yourself from the raid as well, that way no one will be expecting you.

I'm wary of keyloggers and such - that's why I don't sign on at WoW's website.
