Sholazar Basin! ((Open RP))

Postby Fanghammer » Tue Oct 20, 2009 9:54 am

The soft rustel of leaves, the odd grunt and soft swish of cloth, one might believe not drawing attention to ones self would be best within the massive wilds of sholazar basin. One might believe this being dull for making such noise, but it one dull for wanting to draw there attention?

A slim grin cracked the elves lips as he pressed aside a branch and stepped over the fallen and rotting log, the cloth of his robes shuffling and he continued to move forward the grin fadding as quickly as it had come and returning to the emotionless frown that seemed to always grace his facial features. The length of his cloak hung heavily over his shoulders, soaked form the simple humidity of world around him, his brow arched up for a moment, the long eyebrow wiggling in the air as he in hailed the air “ well no...about time I found one”. His body shifted, the cloth armor around his hands creaking as his fingers flexed pulling aside another branch and pushing down a large mass of scrub.

He would continue to walk for some time, his nose twitching now and then before he finally stopped at the base of a tree looking it over, his gloved hands moving down to lift a longish plant from the ground and giving it a look over before he would tug it free of the ground and held it to one of the streams of green light that filited down to the forest floor, his gloved fingers turning it over a few times before the plant found itself in one of the bags he carried along the thick belt around his waist. His head turned to glance upward seeing a shadow cut out light for a moment, those pale glowing green eyes scrunching up in thought for a moment before he reached onto his back lifting away the staff on his back, the staff itself a long thing seeming made of wrapped bones that arched into a winged demonic figurehead that held a fiery glowing gem within its ribcage. The blood elf lightly touched the gem whispering a word, the air crackling around him before he began to walk once more in a westerly direction, staff now held in hand and movements all the more quiet..though now another noise moved in the lush wilderness.

The blood elfs body shuffled as he pressed it against the thick trunk of a tree, his form wrapped in a bubble of pale energy, moonlight filited down apon it giving it an almost glass like sheen before it simply vanished fully, his breathing soft in the dark. For a moment he considered a fire, then considered the simple wetness of the world around him, his mind simply wondering if he could just burn down this hellish place..he hated it and he hated the dam plant he was here to find, finding just one sprout of that dammed thing had been an annoying treck through the swamp lands of this place and past some massive pillar of stone with crystals looking like they had been grown out of blood or some such. His lips moved down into a deeper frown before he simply let out a soft sigh, no use getting worked up about it, he trying to settle down for the evening throwing up a ward to hold off the smaller critters of this place and another to warn him if the larger ones happened upon his place.

The males dreams were that of when he had spent his youth in the care of an orc, and the few friends he had made within there hold. The pains of working under an unaccustomed heat, and even more so to back braking labor that he had not been used to. Even in his sleep he gave a smile, his mind sluggishly moving to the more favored memory's of his friendships with a young orc shaman, he would have fallowed that male to the ends of the earth ..

Fang stood still, his tongue tracing a scar that ran along his lips before he glanced to Herith, the massive mail using orc shaman turning to glance at his younger elf companion “ all we have to do is get to Gadgetzan ..but you said you saw a paladin running around here right?” Fang nodded and motioned across the salt flats “ He was moving toward were the goblins hold there races. The orc gave a nod “ you said he was on foot right..”, the elf once more nodded the long strands of his fall colored hair moving across his face for a moment before he simply hooked his hair behind his long ears. Herith grinned lightly “ wounder if its the same one that attacked me yesterday when we were near the gysers in thousand needles ..” Fang grinned lightly “ prolly is you said his blade was on fire right?..” the orc gave a nod “ this one had the same thing along his sword on his back”, Herith grinned, showing off his pointed teeth “ lets go grab him then..” …

The elfs eyes shot open one of his wards sending a jolt of pain through his body, something roughly human size had entered the area, his fingers tightened on his staff as he kept still, the soft chink of metal easily touching his ears as well as the soft ring of metal as a blade was drawn from its sheath. The blood elf let a grin pass his lips before a harsh word of the arcane slipped form his lips, a blast of chilled air moving outward freezing the plants about him as well as riseing a howl from a being standing but a few feet from the blood elf who had simply vanished, his body having slipped between dimensions for a moment, time for the mage seemed to stand still within the short span of his blink..he giving a glance backward before the shattering of ice was heard and the sword wilder once more bared down upon him, a gold light radiating from now the obviously Draenei. The mage frowned, why did it have to be a paladin..

Pain, searing pain is what he felt, his body alight with it and yet he fought on blood spilling from his lips as his enraged green eyes looked upon his sneering foe. For the mage time seemed to slow as the hulking figure of the draenei threw himself forward the massive mace gripped in his hands rose upward, the blood elves body gave a hard shudder as he called upon quickly waning pool of inner strength, his hand shoving forward willing the draenei's inner body to fuse, forming a clot of bomb. The mage had been told the process of a bomb being forged of ones one inner flesh was possibly one of the most painful experiences one could expirance, yet the paladin hardly slowed a step and brought the massive mace downward and into empty air, the harsh sound of the fabric of space being bent inward braking the normal sounds of the basin. The mage arched his hand upward, tremblingly and bloody fingers grasping at the threads of magic that moved through the world and slipped into the unseen..

Fangs body felt chilled as he slipped away from the paladin, the world around him gray and swirling with unseen shapes, his teeth clenched as the only warmth he felt slipped and bubbled over his lips and down his chin dropping onto his bare chest. The cloth having been sundered by the paladins seeming overwhelming strokes, the mages hand moved upward grasping at the torn flesh at his left shoulder before he felt himself slip from the gray world that had kept him from sight and into the far darker world of the real. Another cough moved from him as the internal bleeding brought another rush of his essence spilling from clenched teeth, his free hand flung upward as he blinked between space and time trying to put as much distance between him and the possibly perusing paladin as possible. The glowing eyes turned to the sky before looking back to the ground continuing to move before he felt himself simply collapse against a tree, gasping for breath as his hands moved to the pack around his waist withdrawing a vile filled with a red fluid that found its way quickly to his lips and down his throat. The mage shuddered as the potion tuck effect, fixing his internals first before wareing off before it could effect his more outward body. His breathing slowed to a more soft haggered breath his body trembling as he continued to hold his shoulder and withdrew bandages form his bag wrapping them around his shoulder and squints of pain before pulling it tight with his teeth. For a moment he sat still, his bodes trembling slowly beginning to ebb away, the male sat there his robes ripped and moves of his chest exposed showing off wounds and gashes, the normally pale skin splashed with the red of life. The mages gloved fingers clenched, one palm holding a small gem that glowed with a pale purple light that dimmed slightly before the gem was placed back into a small slit at his wrists. “ Ill send you to the depths of the abyss... a servant of the light..” his voice soft as he spat these words of malice into the warm evening air. His fingers cut a path through the night air, spirling digits hooking around unseen threads of pulling them toward himself, his body glimmering for a moment as he felt a wave of calm move through himself, another pull brought a searing heat to his body that steamed the vapor around him and hardened the blood on his skin. With murderous intent now boiling the mages blood he began to stride forward...

(( Title fixed. In order to change it, I edited the first post. ))

Asarelah's ears perked to a cry of anguish fueled by frustration and anger, just as her nose caught the unmistakable aroma of fresh blood, shed and adrift on the gentle breeze. Gathering her carry sack of bandages and other medicants, she hastened toward what her senses were telling her was obviously a battle in progress....

His face hardened into a scowl s he moved through the basin, his booted feet sending soft hisses of steam upward as they splashed into the water that pooled here and there on the forest floor. The crystallized blood on his open wounds cracking now and then to let fresh rivulets of the fluid drip down his already stained skin. “ where are you...you damned blue behemoth ...”. To greet his words the mage felt his body erupt in pain, his eyes going wide as the bright flash of blinding yellow light slammed against his body, the mages mind rather suddenly snapped, the rage that fueled the fire of his spells bursting forth in full force, with a simple turn of his head he vanished passing the paladin who had for the second time surprised the magi. “ Die!! and Burn !!” his roaring words shouted forth as he shoved his hands forward, a bomb once more set within the paladins body before the hulking figures frame would shudder rather heavily as an explosion rocked his armor.

Fangs lean frame crouched low as he looked at the paladin, the blood elves hands aflame as another slash of searing heat lashed the paladins body, the paladin ruched forth seeming unfazed by the fire that seemed the ripple from his blue skin. Fang arched his hands upward a freezing gust moving downward and out before he blinked forward and past the paladin. The ice around his plate covered feet lasting hardly a moment as a purple glow moved outward granting him freedom, before he screamed outward his skin feeling as if it had erupted outward, fire blasting outward from between the plates of his armor, but the magi didn't not let up his assault another explosion of fire wrecked the paladins body, who felt once more his insides clot. The paladin roared his fury, a single hand arching upward to slam another wash of light down onto the already battered magi, Fangs cry of pain moved forward before he thrust his hands upward “ give me more!! “ the heat in his body suddenly blossoming full force, his hair flaring outward as lines of chilled air pulled onto him. Fire and cold wrecking his body, another hammer of light washed down upon his form, his mind growing weak before spell after spell seemed to leave his fingertips, a bolt of ice and fire moving form him fallowed by an explosion of flame, the paladins armor once more exploding outward as he was pummeled downward blast after blast of frostfire and seeming fury imbued boulders of fire were thrown upon the paladins form, before he simply arched his hands upward a bubble of holy energy flaring around him. Fangs eyes filled with rage “ you cowardly servant of the light! May you rot in a boiling seas!!”, the paladin ignored him as his hands glowed sealing the wounds that had been seared into his skin..The mages hands clenched in rage, one grasped tightly to the blue gem..this fight was not over..he would burn him...burn him until his corpse was a burn husk unidentifiable by even nature.. The mage stood in the dark night of the basin, watching a being that wished to bring him death, the mage himself filled with the rage of flame, his hate and fury akin to an enraged orc, unaware that another was near..

(( Oo if its ok id love to play this out as maybe the first meeting, to anyone of Nyx, sort of like the rp story of how he got into the guild..maybe :3?))

Motioning her tiny gorloc companion to follow, Asarelah silently moved beneath the heavy canopy of the trees. High-Oracle Soo-say would just have to wait for the shiny treasures he had asked her to find. There was trouble afoot here, and so nearby she could taste the ozone in the air from the magic's of a mage at his craft; and the blood smell was now unmistakable, so heavy laden was the air with mist from the cast off spray.

The gorloc could not keep still; hoppy hoppy here and there, in a constant state of motion. "Lafoo! Be still! You will get us killed!" Lah urgently whispered to her precious companion. But she might as well have asked the rain to stop falling on the lush tropical forest.

With great care, she moved in the direction from which she had heard the sounds of a battle, and through the trees caught the unmistakable glow of a Paladin's glistening bubble of security lighting up the sky for all to see. But was the knight friend or foe? Moving closer, one hand on Lafoo to keep the wiggle worm still, the other carefully parting branches, she was able to make out the hulking form of a Draenei male healing his own wounds, secure inside his glowing sanctuary. But where was his adversary? Gone to ground, no doubt; but alive or dead was the question.

Concentrating on the surroundings, Lah opened her mind vision to locate any living Horde nearby, and touched..... rage.... unbridled fury.... so cold, so hot.... the mage who's charged fury she had smelled but a moment before. She turned toward what her senses revealed and caught sight of a Blood Elf nearby. "Or what is left of him," she thought to herself as she prepared to bolster the clearly battle crazed and weary Magi, who was obviously about to go after the paladin once more.

"Lafoo, be ready to fight!" she ordered her companion, who's only response was an enthusiastic "let me at 'em" gurgle. Shaking her head at her little Ever Ready, for that is what she called her tiny gorloc friend due to his scrappy nature, she sent up a silent prayer of thanks that she was battle ready herself; never walking anywhere outside of the largest cities if not in her best and most resilient garb.

Quickly shielding herself, for Lah knew that she was about to make herself the paladin's first target, she bolstered the Magi with fortitude, along with the blessed comfort of her healing touch, and a second shield; then sent Lafoo with a wave after the Draenei who so obviously thought that this battle was won and that he could proceed at his leisure to finish carving up the Elf he had already so sorely set upon.

"Lets see how you like being Dispelled, oaf!" Lah snickered, preparing to shield and heal, watching as the Mage gave a start with the realization that a friendly priestess was near and had thrown her lot in with his.

With fierce determination, and the keen rush of adrenaline from Lah's deft touches, the Magi raised his now steady hands to bring the battle anew.

((Documentation: Lafoo is a gorloc summoned using [Lafoo's Bug Bag]. Although never actually seen in the Oracle villages in Sholazar Basin, he supposedly lives in Rainspeaker Canopy.))

((Fang: Happy to oblige with what ever direction you lean this written work toward, and will do my best to follow with like coin. /bow))

He could only watch as the paladin continued to heal himself before his gaze shot upward feeling the warmth of healing spill through his body, his frame tensing for a moment as greater internal fortitude was added to himself, his mind clearing along with his bodily wounds. His gaze turned to his hands, fingers once scraped and cut now healed anew “ thank the sunwell that angles exist in this world..”. His head turning to glance at the priest before the pale glow of gold light enveloped the mages body. His cracked lips rose into a smile his gaze turning to the paladin and watching the odd gorloc, the magis hands enclosed around what appeared to be a fluid filled vile but instead of drinking it he thrust the object into the sky “Give me the arcanum!!!” a seeming bolt of energy lashed down upon the mage, his hair bursting outward as sparks of energy flashed across his skin.. a trinket of sorts..but it had its uses.

The paladin turned his gaze form the magi to the now present blood elf priest, hardly seeming to pass a glance at the gorloc, before his shield would collapse into nothing but a shimmer a snarl leaving his lips as he charged forth at the priest a light hammer falling from above to hopefully stike the priest. It rather quickly fallowed by another far more solid hammer that would hopefully stun her so the paladin could close the distance, but a folly as the paladin suddenly felt his insides clot and begin to spread a burning flame through the rest of his body, rather quickly fallowed by an impact of an explosion that rocked his armor. His gaze turned only for a moment to look at the magi whos hands were now alight with the aura of frost yet what shot forth was a heavy bolt of frost fire..

At the collapse of the shield, the magi was quick to act, the charge from his trinket would not last long, his hands shoving forward fingers curling around the unseen and forming the clot of the bomb within the paladins body, before he palm shoved froward adding a quick burst of explosive fire to the mix, before his stance changed leaning back as he muttered and focused. His hands chilling and burning before he shoved his palms forward sending a bolt of frostfire to the paladin, whos body was overcome with cold..his movement slowing. Yet he charged on to the priest seeing her as the greater threat, the paladins hands moving upward as the purple glow once more dispelling the movement slow..before the glow vanished with a harsh gasp from the paladin the glow now around the magi!Who's hands were already alight with that chilled aura.. Fangs voice rang out “ kite him! Lead him around!!” and underhanded tactic but an effective one non the less..the mages rage still flared as he muttered curses in with his incantations..

(( Oo thank you :3 I do hope you enjoy my writing its not as fluid as yours but..I try! /wiggle?))

"Kite him, indeed!" Lah muttered as she turned on her heel and ran like the wind, circling around the embattled Magi.

A touch to her hearthstone sent a mental whisper to Lafoo. "He's to chase me, little one. You nip at his heels, eh dear? But don't stop him running... Just follow, and hamstring him if you can. But stay well behind the fool."

She kept the stone connection open long enough to hear Lafoo's own battle lust take over, and his excited mental chant of "ooohhh... run behind... bite... hit... strike... whirl... ooohhh... run behind... bite... hit... strike... whirl..." repeat in an endless loop.

Satisfied that Lafoo would be safe enough assaulting the paladin from the rear, Asarelah increased her pace, staying just out of range of his flying hammers. The Draenei had not been able to match her burst of speed from the potion she always kept on hand for this type of emergency. And while she had never kited a paladin, she knew well enough at just what range to keep him; both from herself, and from the Blood Elf inflicting lethal damage on the unsuspecting idiot that rushed to his doom, following her circular path.

Between her quietly ticking damage spells, the Magi's alternate chilling then explosive volleys, stiffling his speed then inflicting lethal critical hits and Lafoo's nipping at his heels, this paladin was as good as dead in his tracks. His fury fueled brain just didn't know it yet.

"Keep shields up... keep DoTs up... keep him focused..." Lah thought as she tauntingly circled just out of range at the outside edge of the paladin's reach.

Risking a look over her shoulder as she continued to run at precision speed, to further enrage him she curled up her fingers in a "Bring It" gesture, winked suggestively, licked her lips then blew a very exaggerated kiss back at snarling Draenei, and finally added an extremely sensuous wiggle to her fleeing back side. Then, adding insult to injury, she waved and oh so carefully aimed release of her silk scarf (frequently given as a sign of favor to a Champion that might please her, and always heavily laden with her favorite violet fragrance), allowing it to fly backward and wrap about the livid male's furious battle enraged and now lust crazed face.

"See what you can do with him now, you suicidal Battle Mage!!"

((Your writing is fresh and original. I very much enjoy your offerings, and hope others join in the fun.))

The paladin faltered as he rushed forward sending hammer after hammer of light at the priest, his lips suddenly opening in a rather pained scream before, the ground shuddered, fire blasting out of his mouth and eye sockets, his fingers bursting into flame as the internal bomb went off and hit rather harshly, the explosive wave of flame aliting many o the plants near by as paladin moved down to his knees and simply fell forward, his skin charred. The bomb along with the spells fling by the magi, and priest along with the gorloc's attacks far to much for any living being.. even a plate covered servant of the light.

The magi snarled his hands still aflame “ Burn..Burn it all!!” his eyes still glazed with battle lust before a pillar of flame erupted form the ground beneath the paladins corpse sending it flying upward only to have a fiery bolder cast at it, the already burned corpse simply falling apart. The magi turning his murderous gaze upon the female, before he would simply fall forward. His worn form slumping to the ground and right into the mud. Upon inspection one would find his robes hardly more then taters, his lean frame ravaged by the light, new wounds mixed with old ones, his eyes were closed and his breath slow, his staff lay nearby the organic topper even turning to glance at the female priest before going still.

The bits of armor and limbs as well as a rather charred head lay around the area, small fires here and there were smothered by the simple dampness of the place, a foe laid to waist and a magi lay to tired to move, though the trees shuffled after a moment more a soft snarl moving from them before a war wolves head would pop out, its longish fangs the most imposing along with softly glowing blue eyes..it would ignore the priest sniff as the limbs for a moment before moving to the magi and laying down next to him. The armor that moved on its hefty frame was em blazed with the Hord symbol, bags and heavy packs lay behind the riding saddle..the magi's mount? The riding wolf after a moment would glance to the priest giving a low rurrf before laying its head down on its paws keeping close to its master, though it seemed to eye a nearby charred arm with abit of sag in its jaws. Though the wolf did eye the gorloc inquisitively before seeming to think he wasn't much of a threat and simply want back to looking at the arm..but didnt move simply keeping near its master.

(( Glad your enjoying it and I do hope others join as well :3!))

Asarelah heard and smelled more than saw the paladin explode. One moment light hammers where flirting just at edge of her running steps; the next, an anguished scream of mortal wound pummeled her ears, and the sky surrounding her erupted with molten fire mixed with blood, gore and guts spewing upward to paint the horizon a grizzly red. She ran full circle just the same, not coming to a stop until she could clearly see plate covered body parts adorning the trees and bushes like so many carelessly tossed Yuletide decorations.

Waving Lafoo back, she cautiously approached what was left of the Draenei's trunk, which was still aflame and adding a putrid miasma to the jungle's rich wet musk of leaves and twigs. She prodded the smoking remains with the toe of her boot. "Yup, he's a gonner all right," she smirked, turning to smile at the Magi.

Her smile turned to dust, however; as cheer was quickly replaced by abject concern, and she rushed to the fallen Mage. Before his mount could even snarl, she sent a gentling, and the wolf allowed her to approach his fallen Master unmolested.

Asarelah squeezed in beside the enormous lycan, and knelt beside the prostrate Elf. Pushing the mighty beast's head out of the way, who was watching her with keen interest, she ripped what was left of the Mage's sleeve off his scorched arm, and began working her healing arts. In less than a heart beat, his arm was whole and fully healed again, along with the rest of his battle torn body. Closing her eyes in concentration, Lah channeled fresh life in to his flagging spirit, returning color to his cheeks. But his eyes did not open and his breathing remained ragged and shallow.

"Hmmmm, that should have brought him around... What to do... what to do ??" Lah muttered to herself.

Not one to dither about decisions, Lah gave a quick nod of the head and touched her hearthstone in intense concentration.

"Frosthawk, where are you and what are you about?" she politely inquired, directing her thoughts straight as an arrow toward Leothiel.

"Seriously Lah... You need to ask? The wedding is in two days, for light's sake!!" came back a testy reply from the Nightwarder of War.

"Well yes, I know that Leo. But I literally ran in to a Magi in the Basin that had me kiting a paladin, which he then promptly melted in to the shrubbery." Asarelah relayed. "But he has fallen in battle. Please come help me... I can load him on Tannah, to get him to the Nyxian compound for Aitana to have a look at, since reviving him appears to be beyond my skill. But I require a portal for his ground mount."

"On my way," was Leo's instant response.

"And War Master, you are gonna want to have a little chat with this boy when Aitana gets him patched up. He went after a fully loaded Elder Draenei paladin with nothing but his hands...."

(( I recommend you ask - in game - first Leothiel and then Aitana to respond before you proceed any further. For you are, after all, completely unconscious. *wink* 8) ))

Leothiel received Asarelah's request and headed to Sholazar with great alacrity. Soon, the priestess saw what looked like an elf on a dragonhawk descending to the floor of the jungle. Leothiel dismounted quickly and looked at the downed mage. He recognized some of those wounds. They looked similar to the wounds Oneille had when a druid attempted to have his way with her. It took paladin intervention and some rest before she recovered. nn"I don't know how long he has. Cover me while I open this portal. The paladin may have some friends arriving." nnLeothiel started to cast his portal to Silvermoon. His words proved true. The Alliance attackers were almost to him when he finished the spell and threw the unresponsive elf into the portal. Asarelah immediately followed and Leothiel was the last one through.nnLeothiel tried to laugh but the thought of this severely wounded comrade-in-arms' condition dampened that. Asarelah summoned her war horse, then she and Leothiel put the unconscious mage on the horse. nnThe three made haste to the Nyx compound in Fairbreeze, where Aitana was waiting. Lah described the scene of what happened. Leothiel then made comment about the wounds on Fanghammer. "When Oneille was attacked by the druid Truuk, her wounds required special intervention."
