Bound by Honor: the Courtship of Mah'gilla and Teesdera

Postby Mahgilla » Sun Feb 14, 2010 5:14 am

It was a still night in Nagrand. The even was cool and crisp. Mah'gilla took a leasure pace toward the temple of Osh'gun. Many had died in the last charge against Ice Crown Citadel and with the alliance ever more tenacious.. he felt it wise to seek the council of the ancestors.nnAs Archonos, his bronze drake made his decent toward the entrance of the temple, the Shaman felt a wall slam shut between him the spirits... a feeling he hadnt felt since the forsaking of the natural powers... since the warlocks infected the orcish clans..nnhis heart trembled. Such a feeling could come from nothing good.. he thought for a moment.. and realized this was different. the Spirits could not reach him and he was unable to reach out but the elements held firm. they still communed with him and gave him their strength.nnThe Mighty Shaman entered the temple.. a foul demonic stench filled his nostrils as he made his way to the bowels of the mountain. his stomach turned as he go closer to the meditation pools at the bottom of the temple. The Smell of Sulphur and Rotten Meat filled his lungs.. but the smeel was all he had.. nothing, nothing was here to see... the Spirits, his eyes... they all betrayed him. As he stepped into the main room of the great chamber, the door behind him slammed shut, and the room began to fill with a Noxious gas.. It blocked his thoughts... his ability to command the elements.. he was hopeless and now on his knees.. gagging and gasping for air.. slowly he succumb to fumes and lay still... unconscious on the floor of the chamber...
"The Spirit of the Wilds is by far the best friend and greatest enemy of the shaman.. It is the Wilds that can make the shaman think he is a God - and show him that he's still mortal."

Teesdera had found herself once again studying her lessons far from home.. The fields and wondrous beauty of Nagrand gave her a sense of soothing calm and the ability to truly focus on her energy.. she began to practice high above the lands on a small floating hunk of Rock... beneath a tree that seemed timeless in its appearance. A Massive explosion rocked the land as she was in the middle of a cantination. she stopped abruptly and turned.. it came for the mountain the Orcs called "Osh'gun" nnCurious a most Young Elven females, she decided to investigate and with simply a few words.. a tapestry woven of magical thread appeared, obeyed her commands, and wisked her across the skies.. Teesdera landed near the entrance of the temple, the radiance of Fel energy making her glowing green eyes burn intensely. she thought to herself, " what could possibly be giving off such energies from the Orcish temple..." she stepped inside only to notice the new inhabitance... Man'ari...nnA Burst of Arcane power surged through her body... making it as if her entire self were a beacon of Magical energy. "Gor'om haguul!!!" a Terror Guard had spotted her and was screaming as he charged the Blood Elf. a few words, and a pinkish purple blast struck the Demon square in the chest.. his twisted demonic body flew backwards.. instantly ending his bodily functions.nnshe plunged deeper into the tainted temple.. meeting more of the same resistance... she reached the temples base.. to her surprise, at the center of the room, surrounded by the the Warlocks of the Kill'Sorrow clan and their demonic Masters lay the Shaman... Mah'gilla Boulderfist.

Teesdera's, eyes burned with intensity. the bright green color seeming to almost turn to a flame... dancing behind her skull. She turned fast and sent a shock of arcane energy through the Room, disrupting the forces that would drain the life force of the orcish ancestors... and of Mah'gilla.nnThe Warlocks and demons in attendance were infuriated... some charged as other began to cast spells... With a simple cantination a hush feel over the room... immediately following the abrupt counter spell, the charging demons were frozen in place, frigid ice bound their legs and hooves as Teesdera twisted into the air leaping backwards. as she landed a Barrage of Arcane energy leaped from her fingertips... the missles striking her targets... Vaporizing some while others lay in agony.nnthe room feel silent. the Mighty shaman lay seemingly lifeless on the altar... as Teesdera aproached she noticed a voice... a spell danced in Mah'Gilla's head keeping him from having any signs of life. Teesdera leaned over the Orcs large frame... She began to tremble.. her heart heaved heavily... she had never been this close to him.. And since the day of her salvation.. she was smitten by the old shaman.. deeply locked in a forbidden love. she cleared her mind and placed her small hand on his head.. mumbling a long phrase.. the spell began to lift.. The Orc's eyes opened.nnHe Snarled as he looked up into the eyes of the young Elven female and began to speak, "my head pounds with the cries of the ancestors... What has happened here Mage..."nnShe smiled, "always business first huh Elder?"nnHe snorted and went to stand.. his legs betraying him as he wobbled. "I am grateful... Teesdera... But i MUST know what has happened.."nnThe young female crossed her arms and seemed to pout.. Romance was not in the Orc's temperament. "I found you laying here... Demons and warlocks were surrounding this altar... it seems they were syphoning the life force from you and from the spirits of the Orcish Temple."nnThe Shaman blinked his eyes and sighed heavily.."And you saved me from this, young one?"nnTeesdera sucked in her bottom lip and nodded like a small child. "uh huh"nnMah'Gilla placed his large hand on her shoulder.. "Then I am indebted to you till we leave this mortal world.. FIrst we must Cleanse this place... I do not intend to hand over the ancestors to warlocks!"nnMah'Gilla grabbed his Shield and sword. They made their way for the Door of the chamber. They heard voices in the hallway just outside the door... A Demon stepped into view... the two stopped cold in thier tracks as it began to speak "A-rul shach kigon.."nnMah'Gilla drew his weapon and charged.. mumbling under his breath..." that'll be the day.." then with a Mighty roar, the entire temple filling with his Rage he screamed, "LOK-NARASH DAE'MON!!"
"The Spirit of the Wilds is by far the best friend and greatest enemy of the shaman.. It is the Wilds that can make the shaman think he is a God - and show him that he's still mortal."

Mah'Gilla set slumped over... staring at his hands.. They were trembling... the defilement of his temple was more then he could bare.. Although he and the Magus had purged the demonic trespassers, His heart still ached.nnTeesdera combed her long blonde locks with her fingers as the two rested. She was young. and care free. so much of her was the counter balance to the old, Grumpy, set in his ways Orc Shaman. she saw him as a challange and a Male of True purpose. She felt safe around him, even in his fits of moody rage she knew he would never bring direct harm to her and would care for her without thought of his own safety.nnThe silence was broken as the Shaman spoke, his voice riddled with emotions, "You fought well young Magus.. I am indebited to you.. you not only saved my life.. but the temple itself.. for that, there is no reward that i can offer you.. other then my loyalty to you... I have been hard on you recently.. I found you to be young, impetuous, with a cavalier attitude towards life.." The old Shaman Sighed and looked up at the twin moons of Dreanor.. "I used to be that way."nnTeesdera walked over to the Orc and placed her hand on his shoulder, "I do not know what trials have made you so course Mah'gilla.. But I see in you a great soul... youre rage is tempered and you seek justice at every turn... you remind me of my father.."nnMah'gilla smirked and turned his head back to her slightly, "your father was stubborn and set in his ways too eh?"nnthe young Beauty gave a slight giggle as she responded slapping his shoulder, " No silly! He was strong and cared for others.. he just didnt show it well.."nnMah'gilla leaned his back against the tree they had chosen to rest by.. he spoke.. his words softening.. "that is true of me.. I have not known how to show much of emotions since my mate died... she was a great huntress of these very plains.. our son and duaghter are all i have to remind me of her..." the old shaman dropped his chin against his chest and grinned shaking his head.. " Our daughter is strong like her.. a Huntress.. something about that blood line.. such a deep connection with the wild... My son on the other hand.. Stubborn like his Father.. I could not teach him the ways of the shaman.. he cares for only tribute and riches... typical blade of the shadows.. but he is honorable.. and i can expect not too much more.."nnTeesdera sat next to him and listened to his ramblings.. she was lost in his words and in his voice.. she found comfort in his ability to be vunerable with her.. " And.. what of now? do you... I mean... Have you found another.... Mate?"nnThe Shaman slowly lifted and turned his head looking at the small female elf.. his eyes squinted as he responded.. searching for the meaning of such a question... "No. I have not... why do you ask such a question?"nnTeesdera grinned then quickly dropped her face down trying to hide the glee.. She looked up again and spoke, "Well... umm.. you had said you pledged your loyalty to me.. I.. I just... Well i was wondering if that meant Courtship?"nnMah'gilla snarled and responded.. his voice returning to the gruff forceful way he was when the two spoke in the past, "COURTSHIP?!? I pledge myself to you for your skill in combat Elf! for your honorable deeds... and from this you ask of COURTSHIP???"nnTeesdera Nodded, "Mah'gilla... It is your heart I am asking for.." the Orc cut her off in mid sentence, "you do not understand what it is you ask for Elf... the Orcish Mating ritual and Courtship is not that of your Elven people... it is... how do I describe it.. vigorous... compared to what you are used to... I mean no disrespect but i am not sure you would survive such a process..."nnThe Magus Blushed heavily from the blunt comments of the shaman.. she gathered her thoughts and spoke, "I... I do not care.. I will go through what ever it requires.. I am not afraid.."nnMah'gilla nodded his head in approval, "Then on the next Full Moon, we will begin. We will see where your heart is Elf.. eat hearty.. for the next 3months will be strenuous... and I will not be easy on you.."
"The Spirit of the Wilds is by far the best friend and greatest enemy of the shaman.. It is the Wilds that can make the shaman think he is a God - and show him that he's still mortal."

Teesdera made her way to the base of the mountain in blades edge. She was there on time... as she arrived she noticed Mah'Gilla was in very meger attire.. she had brought with her many things she felt she might need during this trial period her newly courted orcish mate maid mention of.nn"I am pleased you decided to show Magus... what are these things you bring?" She began in a soft voice, " I felt i should come prepared incase... HEY!!" The Shaman muttered a swift prayer to the winds as her bags sailed into the air and into the chasm below. "you will not need any of it. here, put this on" The Orc handed her a rough animal skin similar to the one he was wearing. "it will be enough to keep you warm.. and thats all you require." The shaman said with blunt voice.nnTeesdera looked frieghtened for a second.. then regained her composer. "Fine. its just that some of my lessons and books were in those bags..."nnMah'Gilla looked up at her.. they will be there when this is over.. the earth will conceal them.. I have made such a plea." nnThe shaman Dusted of his hands, stood up right and began to explain the Ritual in its entirity, nn"This will be a test of your physical and mental endurance young one... both of us will be tested.. and both of us must pass together aswell as seperately. At the top of this mountain.. I have placed a set of rings.. made of Khorium. our fist test.. we must reach the top with out the aid of any magical energies, on seperate sides of the mountain, place the ring on the other mates finger, and desend the mountain together.. this will symbolize our trials of the past and our combined efforts to over come any obstacle together from this point forward. Do you understand?"nnTeesdera Gulped... the thought of repressing magic for 3months alone was unbearable.. let alone these tests... to be preformed without magical aid.. she studdered slightly as she responded, "ye.. yes."nn"Good, after this.. we will travel on foot to the Forrests of Terrokar.. and together we will stalk the Cunning Beasts of the land.. we must find, and kill.. or starve.. again.. we must do this without aid from our magical energies.. doing so would taint the ritual and the blessing of the ancestors would not be given to us.. do you understand?"nn"yes.." the Magus replied.nn"Verywell... the last test... We must travel to the hills of Nagrand.. here, the mighty Gronn hold sway over the Ogres of the land.. we must find the son of Gruul.. and bring his reign to an end.. If we survive.. we will travel to the Temple of Osh'gun.. and there we will wait.. in silent meditation until the Ancestors bless our union.. or the Third of the Full moons have passed... Do you wish to begin this Trial with me Elf?" nnMah'Gilla looked into the glowing green eyes and already knew the answer to his question... nn"Yes."nn"Then let us waste no time!" The Shaman let out a Mighty Roar that shook the very mountain side... he turned to the young Blonde elven female and began in a stern thick voice...n"Teesdera, Daughter of the Sin'Dorei... I, Mah'Gilla Boulderfist of the Warsong clan, choose you as my mate.. do you wish to begin the Ritual of Courtship with me?"nnThe young elf blinked and never hesitated, "yes. I do."nnThe Robust Orc gripped her by the shoulders... leaned in and bit her cheek flush... drawing blood with his bite.. symbolizing the beginning of the courtship.. he looked at her.. " you must now do the same.." She bit him square on his rough orcish beard.. the black blood dribbling from his wound..nnThey both stood facing eachother.. Teesdera grinned and shook her head.. Mah'Gilla looked at her curiously.. "what is it.. you mock the ritual???" nnshe looked up at him and smiled, "no no not at all.. its just that... when you said vigorous... I expected something different.." she blushed at her own statement. nnThe Shaman let out a hearty Roar of laughter as he slung his ritual war axe across his back... "HA! See you at the Top Teesdera! Aka'Magosh!"
