ok, here are the applications I drew up, going to put them in quote boxes. Grethem, I just straight copied some of things you said, you just worded it so well . The red text is me talking to you guys, haha, I don't like how that question is worded, meh. I'm sure I missed stuff, feedback is always welcome.nn

Application for MentornnBecoming a mentor for somebody can be one of the most important things an apprentice has in Azeroth. nWhen becoming part of the apprentice and mentor relationship, expect to give as well as recieve. Expect the bond to go further than just learning the ropes, and into affecting RP. It should be more than just giving out some gold or dungeon runs, it should be helping to create a story for a person new to WoW, as well as learning more about RP. When becoming a mentor, be able to tolerate questions, and be an overall helpful person. When becoming an apprentice, you should generally be new to the game, new to roleplay, or both. If you already have several 80s already in Nyx, chances are you won't be allowed to choose a mentor. Try and choose a mentor that fits your style of character (I.E. if you're a young shaman, a shaman, druid, or troll priest might be a better mentor for you, if only for RP reasons. If you're a druid, you probably won't want to stick with the mentally disturbed forsaken warlock.) On an RP level, some level of respect will be expected from your mentor. It doesn't mean you have to get on your knees and kiss your mentor's feet, if you're the sarcastic type you still probably shouldn't call your mentor a "Big fat smelly cheese goblin". While your mentor should and is expected to support you, don't constantly beg for gold and dungeon runs, and don't be completely dependant on them. The occasional "I need gold for a mount/repairs" is perfectly acceptable, but asking for five thousand gold for epic flying will most likely be spurned.nBe able to listen to your mentor, they're there to help you, not boss you around. There are good ideas here but I would ask the mentors to maybe explain a little of how they Rp themselves and/or how they view the world. Wouldn't have to be long just a quick version. Also you changed intro of the applickation for apprentices but the actual apprentice application is just a copy of the mentors' app which still had questions reguarding the mentor only.

(( Ok, let's tie in the fair: Everyone attending the fair must have already filled out an application. Let the mentors stay in one spot while the apprentices walk around and talk to a few of their "potential" mentors. This would still take some preparation because the apprentice would need a list of a few mentors he could talk to before he goes to the fair. Now, I suppose the apprentice himself could browse the Mentor applications (perhaps we should have 2 sticky threads, Mentor and Apprentice applications) and decide for himself which mentor he would like to talk to, then when he does, the mentor would have to refer to his application. Also, I know the ward is in disarray right now, but this is something we can do as a community, lets get this ball rolling! =) ))

((The original idea for this was more along the lines of "help those having trouble with RP learn to RP a bit better as well as make a story out of that training" somewhere in here it turned into "get everyone to 80 with gear". While hat isn't exactly a bad thing the overriding point of the first way of doing this should still apply. This, along with the fact that the process would probably go smoother as RP than anything else (thus the topic name) makes me think it would still do best under ward of lore's jurisdiction.))nn((Currently, with the number of events that are being put into play and the still all too recent departure of swan and drac, this would probably be more of a longterm project than what some people would expect. we have to have a steady group of people willing to devote time to this, we have to have people willing to check up on the status of the different groups, and we need to ensure that we keep this entertaining instead of turning it into a attempt to level everyone up by doing constant instance runs.))nSincerely,n Dark/Zer

Where did anyone say this was about getting to 80 and getting gear *looks confused* yes I understand lore does rp events and yes this will definately be a long term project.

*has a confused look on his face as well* I'm not sure how you got the "level to 80 as fast as you can" idea, but I don't see it, and I definitely don't agree with it. I'm just a little guy on the scale of things, so I'm not doing anything to start this ingame; I drew up the app and discussed it with all of you. I will help anybody anyway I can. Just let me know.
