Which character would benefit Nyx more?

Postby Shimmerwind » Mon May 24, 2010 7:13 am

Okay, so...nnI'm finally in the process of juggling and tossing about the chaos that is my account and have been looking at my character roster.nnCurrently on Emerald Dream I have two characters; a 60 druid who is boomkin/resto, and a 61 hunter.nnCurrently the boomkin is in a friends and family guild, while the hunter is in Nyx. I was -strongly- considering switching that arrangement, and moving the druid to Nyx (as I think I want to play that character more at the moment, plus I -really- enjoy healing in PVE), and moving Roton to the friends and family guild. Whichever character I place in Nyx will be my "main" for the server.nnI'm just about even on which character I want to play to 80, and I have a goal of quick-grinding some heirlooms at 80 for my future goblin priest (I love the priest class). My question, which character do you think would benefit Nyx the most? The druid for the dual-speccing, multi-role aspect, or the hunter? I tend to PVP and PVE about evenly and would like to participate in both with the guild. I would like to RP quite a bit, and an added consideration toward putting the hunter "away" so to speak is that come Cataclysm I would like to race/gender change him to a female goblin, which could cause some continuity hiccups.nnAny opinions would greatly appreciated.

I think we need your druid more, but I'm not sure about that. Warzen, Raphusm, or Op (Ennuo) would know better than I do.

Druid - heals are always at a premium, and the ability to dps when needed is great. I have a druid sitting in the nether somewhere at level 17 ... I was going to work on leveling until I got hooked on pvp with my hunter.

Druid: aside from multi-roles, they have excellent conversion to pvp with resto and feral being high-tier arena worthy.nThat, and levelling is much easier with all of the tools you have in your arsenal.nnAs for the pve side of things, we always need more heals and tanks! not to completely neglect hunters but at the state we're in we could use more pivotal-rolenplayers.

Roton,nnAs we discussed yesterday, your Ephemeral periood will last two more weeks, and a bit. The Druid may be brought in to the guild at that time if that is your wish.nn/hugsnnnviewtopic.php?f=19&t=5047&p=30052#p30052nAsarelahnPost subject: Re: Request for funds to get my Hunter/Druid geared, bagged, ectnPosted: Mon May 24, 2010 9:06 am n n10:56 [Asarelah]: Your Rank is still Ephemeral. nnnThe original post in this thread was made an hour or so prior to our conversation. That being said, I wasn't really thinking about bringing in the druid as an alt, but instead replacing the hunter as my sole character in the guild while I wait out my second ephemeral period. If that is also a no-no, then I'll just have to wait patiently, ne? ^.^nnI sincerely wish the hackers hadn't deleted my characters; they were both in the guild prior to my getting sick. I'd have still had both in the guild and with any luck, have retained my Shadow rank. Oh well. C'est la vie.

nnDuring leaves of absense, unless it's a known departure for reality issues and approved, members of the guild's ranks deteriorate over time. Eventually they are removed from the guild's membership base due to inactivity.nnWhen an inactive member returns, they are normally returned at Ephemeral rank, to give them an opportunity to get to know the new faces on board, and any changes that may have occured in guild operations. That is what has happened here. Nothing more.nnYour request for extensive gear replacements for two characters at the time of your return was addressed and you chose to receive gear for your hunter, with the understanding that you would put in a request for gear for your druid after your re-entry period ended. And the hunter gear was granted, and delivered to you by me, along with new frostweave bags for your hunter.nnWhile I have no issue what so ever with changing out your hunter for your druid as far as your main - and we can do that immediately, I would have issue with a treasury request prematurely for gear for your druid under these circumstances until your re-entry time has been met.nnSee me when the servers come up and we can discuss this further if you like?

I'm standing by my roots as Shaman. From now until next expansion. Shaman all the way.
