The March to 80

Thanks to a wicked hot streak in EOTS this weekend, I'm only half a bar from 80. And, with similar luck, I can cruise through that this evening, and will have 75k Honor banked.nnSo, I'm going to be buying my PvP gear pretty soon, and I would love some help/suggestions on Gemming and Enchanting the new gear.nnI'll also have to go out in search of a new weapon.nnAny and all input appreciated.nnAs a side note, having spent a ton of time in EOTS this weekend, I can say this for sure: The key to winning that BG is taking BE, FRR, and DR (or MT). You need three towers before even bothering with the flag.nnWhen we were successful, is with this method. Clogging up the middle in a 2 Tower vs 2 Tower fight is simply too chancey, and you can lose as often as win. But if you ignore the flag early, and get 3..... it's full of win.

The problem in EOTS is convincing everyone else you need three. Just like AB folks seem to just want to run around and kill.

You don't definitely need three. You need three bases or you need two solid and control over the middle. I was always in the "must have three" club, but I have been in some battles lately where we have held two bases beginning to end and dominated the flag and won very easily. It's been educational. In those battles, I just drift to wherever the Alliance is attacking and help defend (middle or whichever tower they're hitting).

I hear you Grawlix... The problem is, when say 9 or 10 folks zerg the middle in a 2 Tower game, and they get wiped.... bad bad things happen. I've seen Flag Spawn Mass Extinction events that lead to one or both of the friendly towers getting capped right afterwards.

Made it to 80 last night, picked up 2 pieces of the best available PvP gear, and headed back into EOTS. Big difference facing all 80s as opposed to having 70-74s to kick around ;0
