*an ethereal figure steps from the shadows*

Postby Leikos Darkwood » Thu Aug 26, 2010 4:46 am

Ishnu'alah Nyxians. This is your friendly neighborhood Darkwood dropping in to say hello. It's been a while since I've spoken to anyone. I was just reading through some of the old 'Strands of Fate' saga stories and it brought up fond memories of working with you fine folks. It's been almost a year since the final piece of that story and since my departure from the realm. I just thought I would drop a hello and say that, despite being on opposing sides, you guys are a part of some of the fondest memories I've had from that time and I was glad to work with all of you. I hope all is well for everyone. If you guys ever decide to do another plot using some of that old stuff, let me know. I'd love to read it. Elune adore...nn*proceeds to pelt every horde present with jelly dounuts!*nn :pursue:

I am so glad you stopped by! Those were good times indeed. *smiles fondly* Still no chance of the old commander coming back? Or is he content with eternal fishing instead of commanding multitudes? *grins*

Lah, it is impossible to resist the old Commander's charm, or lack there of? I can't remember which now *smirks*nnAitana, I've been tempted on more than one occasion, believe me. Something about rallying the forces of the Alliance, or some other faction :b , has definately come up once or twice. It just doesn't fit into things these days though. Can't afford to spend the time on it. If I'm really good though, maybe I'll drop by sometime in the near future just to get my feet a little wet. No promises though.nnHow's everything around here going? Still fighting the good fight, I assume?

We're doing well. We haven't mounted much for large-scale campaigns on our own, but we have been supporting <The Crew> in theirs. We had a lot of fun with them last week when we did a tour of all the capitals and Menethil Harbor. We had two raid groups with about 70 people total. We started outside of Orgrimmar where we all lined up for pictures. From there we went to Goldshire and cleaned it up. We RP-walked into Stormwind (better known as Crewopolis now). After we took out the auctioneers and killed the king, the two groups separated and one went to Iron Forge and the other to Darnassus and Exodar. If I remember right, we left a small detail in SW to lock down the auctioneers there. I was in the group that went to Iron Forge and Menethil Harbor. The Alliance had to scramble to find a living auctioneer anywhere and we downed all the leaders. It was funny to watch mage portals go up to Exodar or Darnassus knowing full well that those auctioneers wouldn't be alive long either. We merged the groups again on the docks of Stormwind and we were going to RP walk back out the front gates. Just past the big hall coming from the docks we had some fantastic battles against a group from the Federation. I know Kingship and NMM were there, and I think I saw some from <Ashes of the Phoenix>. In the end we did RP walk out the front gates and cleaned up Goldshire again. It was a great evening of fun attacking Alliance targets and pvp.nnOur pvp on our own has been smaller groups attacking various Alliance targets and some larger groups doing Black Bear runs. Some of us have had a lot of fun taking over a building in Iron Forge or the Mage Tower in Stormwind. Warzen has claimed a rock outside of Menethil much to the annoyance of some members of Kingship. Most people don't know that his full name is Warren Zenatine Stonefield and is related to the Stonefields outside of Stormwind and his subsequent fascination with killing any he deems as enemies of Lady Nyx's followers that he has. I think Ishar has a drinking game that involves killing SW auctioneers. We have been working on finding a suitable base of operations in a contested zone that we could defend while the Alliance attack us, but have not found any. Then there are a few of our members that receive undue attention from the Alliance and defending them creates other opportunities for pvp. nnWe've had a few story-based RP-pvp series of events. We've also hosted a Warsong Gulch-like event with <Kerberos> that was a lot of fun. But we haven't done anything like the Strands of Fate events since you left. It's hard to believe its been a year already.

It is a privilege to hear from you once again Leikos. I've been instructing kal'dorei in the ways of arcanistry by firing Frostbolts and Arcane Barrages at them. Unfortunately, that instruction method has a very high mortality rate, which means High Priestess Tyrande will have the very best highborne magi at her side.

Wow, all of that sounds awesome! Makes me wish I was there to stop you, hehe. I've heard whispers of some Federation of Guilds, Alliance side. Almost makes me want to come back wearing red. I love uphill battling, *chuckles*.
