Story of a Healadin

Postby Kaiyuna » Tue Sep 09, 2008 12:53 am

This is my first post on the nyx forums, also this is my first story aswell. Hope you enjoy the story and I'am currently in the progress of writing an RP story for my Frost Mage "Sardias".

Story of a Healadin

My life starts with joy and happiness, but ends with sorrow and grieving. The name is Shugotenshi which in your language means guardian angel, for my mother gave me this name for she wanted me to one day follow her footsteps. My mother was wonderful she had beautiful flowing blonde hair, wonderful smile, sparkling blue eyes and a sweet personality. Sadly she passed away while giving birth to my brother and me, my father gave me a picture of her and said “your mother would be proud of you” with a soft voice “having accomplished so much and only 16” he said looking at me the whole time. What he was referring to was me following my mothers footsteps, by becoming a paladin trained in the way of healing and protecting others. My training was expensive but my father believed in me, my dad sent me to Silvermoon to learn the ways of the light. While I was training my father and brother were in Farstrider Retreat waiting for me to return home, but in one fatal moment that would change for the worse.

One man full of greed and hatred will turn on his people to get the Sunwell for himself, but in the process the Sunwell was destroyed. Before all that I’ll tell you my life during the war and what happened. It all started with sightings of creatures in the shadows just past our borders, these sightings from my knowledge were investigated but nothing was found. Animals in the area started to act strange and displayed habits never seen before, research of the area and its inhabitants took place and during this time scouts went missing, people started to worry and rumours of the undead were brought up. For on one fateful day rumour became reality and reality became a nightmare.

2 months later I woke up to a paladin leaning over me shouting, I got up and I looked out side to see smoke on the horizon. Another paladin wielding a sword and shield shouted “were under attack the scourge have made there move”, I got my gear and left for battle. The one thing on my mind at the time was my father and brother, I had to get to them and send them to Silvermoon for safety. I left the magnificent and enchanting entrance of Silvermoon to journey to Farstrider Retreat to get my family to safety, I was praying that the aggressive Amani Trolls south of Farstrider Retreat would keep the scourge at bay. When I arrived I saw my father and brother alive and well, I told them the situation and sent them on there way to Silvermoon were they would be safe. I made my way to the East Sanctum were I met paladins, mages, warlocks, rogues and priests all here for the same reason “To protect our people”.

The first thing I did was different from my other paladin brethren, instead of going into the front lines with the other paladins I was ordered to stay back and help the priests heal the wounded. This was my first time at war and I spent it healing the wounded and getting them ready for battle, I guess I was doing my part in the war against the scourge but for some reason I wanted to help in the front lines. That time never came instead the fight came to me, the scourge had slowly pushed our forces back to the East Sanctum. At this moment I joined the fight to save Silvermoon, my family and its citizens from the savage and vile scourge. My skills in the ways of the light were good enough to heal my allies in the heat of combat, and at the same time give them beneficial blessings to improve them physically and mentally. For awhile we had the upper hand in the war, but things changed more and more of them began to rise from the earth underneath us. With these new arrivals we were out numbered, we received orders to retreat to Silvermoon and regroup. Our last stand against the scourge would take place outside of Silvermoon.

The guards of Silvermoon were there awaiting our return ready for combat, even the civilians took up arms and joined to protect their home. A great deal of time passed before we spotted the scourge slowly walking towards us, I could see the ground beneath their feet turn a dark shade of grey. My brethren and I started the march towards the scourge with the guards of Silvermoon and paladins in the front row, rogues in the shadows slowly moving forward, while the mages and the warlocks stayed back with the priests and me. When the conflict started I noticed that the rogues started to spread out and move in on individual targets, as soon as they landed their blow that was the signal for the rest of us to join. The warlocks summoned their demons and cursed our opponents, the mages tore through our opponents with there magic and some of them had water elementals, the civilians took up arms and charged and the priests and I started to heal.

The fight went on for so long I lost track of time itself, but there were many casualties on both sides and I started to become exhausted. All of a sudden I felt something and turned to see a bright light, this bright light radiated and made me blind for a short period of time. When I finally got my eyesight back I noticed that the scourge were gone, I then started to wonder why they were here in the first place if not to kill us all.

Silvermoon was left in ruins and the ground was grey and lifeless, a path ran straight through Silvermoon about the size of a dragon. As I headed back to the Sunspire I saw them…

The royal family lying on the ground dead, surrounding them were guards and rogues. I ran off in search for my family to see if they to were dead or alive, I prayed that they were alive for I could not stand living without them. As I arrived at the place that my family was supposed to be I held my breath and opened the door with my eyes tightly closed, as I opened my mouth to breath again and slowly opened my eyes I saw the room was empty. I fell to the ground crying, but a mage walked in and said they had found my father and brother I was once again happy I wiped away the tears and followed the mage. When I noticed that we were heading to the Sunspire I wondered what they were doing here, as I arrived I saw them with their masks removed I could identify them my father and brother were dead.

Well thats it, I dont know if I should write more to it. However if anyone has any ideas let me know and i'll add it in. ^^
