The Scourge

The scourge invasion has gotten out of hand. You would think with all the force the Argent Dawn has at their command that they would have it under control by now, but no, they do not. Not in the least. Therefore Lady Nyx has commanded us to do all in our power to repel their assault on Azeroth. We have several groups arranging for attacks on Tenris Mirkblood who has been spotted in Karazhan. We need more groups to roust their agents in Stratholme, the Scholomance, Dire Maul, the Scarlet Monastery, Shadowfang Keep and the Razorfen Downs. Whatever their purpose there may be, the world will surely be better off if they are destroyed before their evil plans are fulfilled.

Some of you have already been working hard on assisting the Argent Dawn already. Over the next couple days I will be leading groups to go to these locations and to Stratholme, the Scholomance, Dire Maul, the Scarlet Monastery, and Shadowfang Keep. Also I will be leading groups to defend Azshara, Blasted Lands, Burning Steppes, Eastern Plaguelands, Tanaris, and Winterspring as they come under attack by Scourge forces. I urge those of you who have already been fighting the Scourge to continue your efforts, and all who are interested to organize defenses as well.

With each victory against the Scourge, the defense will grow stronger. If invasion attempts are beaten back by the defenders, the Argent Dawn will be able to bestow increasingly more powerful blessings upon those fighting the invaders. If the mortal races focus on clearing the Scourge camps all over the world that have sprung up beneath each necropolis, perhaps the invasion can effectively be halted or even repelled. Those who wish to take up arms against the undead invaders should speak with a representative of the Argent Dawn to learn what regions need help and how the defense is holding up.

For the record, the last Scourge invasion a couple of years ago was repelled by the forces of Nyx at the time, with the final Necrotic Shard falling beneath our might. Let's make sure to have history repeat itself. =)
