Hey everyone...

Postby Kega » Tue Dec 23, 2008 10:31 am

Hey guys...just a little something I'd like to share...

A friend of mine passed away yesterday in a horrible car accident. While he was driving down a canyon in the far right lane, he started to slide on icy roads. He crashed into a pickup in the next lane, vaulted over the median, continued to roll six times in oncoming traffic and landed in the far ditch. As far as I know, he was killed instantly along with his passenger, two in the back are in critical condition, and one walked away.

Now, you must be thinking "Why would you want to share this with us, Kega? D="" Well, it just got me thinking. I just want you all to be careful this holiday season. If you live in a place with snow or not. Please take your time to be extra careful to avoid any accidents. Nyx would not be the same without each and every one of you. Not one person makes or breaks this guild and that is truly represented through our friendships. If one of you happened to leave us in this manner, we'd all feel the pain, so don't think you go unnoticed. Lady Nyx has her eye on you! ;) As do we all. So please, again, be careful everyone. Drive safe, smart, and slow ;)

I don't really know what else to say so I'll leave it at that.

Thanks guys

Kega

*hug Kega*

Wishing everyone safety, particularly with all the crazy weather some places have been getting. I have to pick my mother-in-law up from the airport just before midnight on New Year's Eve and that scares me... I've known of too many people who were injured or killed because of someone else driving drunk especially on that night. So I will add to your message, make sure you have a designated driver or plan to spend the night on New Year's.

I'm sorry to hear about the accident, Kega *hugs*

A close friend of mine died and her husband was brain-damaged in a car accident a four years ago. Effectively their son is an orphan even though his father didn't die. Please stay safe. We would all feel it if anything happened. To quote Sergeant Phil Esterhaus from Hill Street Blues, "Hey, let's be careful out there."
