If ANYONE.... I repeat ANYONE or ANY EMAIL ever requests you send login information it's a scammer. No company, institution, Blizzard, or bank will ever email you a request for information. nnAnd if you ever get such a request, simply mark it as spam and go about your day.

nnThis^^nnThat said, I can see how people could fall for this one, given that email extension. Hooray for authenticators.

I have a friend who got her identity stolen this way. Don't be stupid and reply to an email providing sensitive information. Don't give account numbers, passwords, SS#s, birth dates, don't give information to unsolicited emails.

Yes but this can be tricky, even to those who know better. Blizzard DOES in fact send emails from donotreply@blizzard.com, WoWaccountadmin@blizzard.com, billing@blizzard.com and stuff like that. Good scammers can make it look like they're sending from the same email address, but if you know how to read email headers you'll see they actually come from Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo accounts.nnOn top of this, if there's a link in the email, one way to catch if it's legit is to pay close attention to the URL. http://us.battle.net and http://www.worldofwarcraft.com are the ONLY domains Blizzard will refer you to (as mentioned in their security info). Lots of scammers will send links that have that in the visible name, yet if you click on them they'll take you somewhere like http://www.wow-account-battle.net or http://www.worldofwarrcraft.com.nnSafest bet, what I've done is forwarded any emails I think could potentially be legit to Blizzard, they'll tell you if it's legit or not.
