An Unstoppable Force… Nyx Razes the Blood Wing!

The shadow of Nyx slowly creeps upon the threshold of the Lich King, dominating each quarter one by one. With a fervent dedication, a tenacious band of Nyxian raiders dominated the Blood Queen of the Blood Wing, and established a new front within the very foundation of Icecrown Citadel. A significant feat it was, as Nightwarder Filarius led the assault and the raid expertly executed the GUILD FIRST victory over the Blood Wing! Take heed to honor and respect your brave raiders as your pass them within these shadowy halls, as they will be leading Nyx into a future teeming with triumph!

End to Hysteria! The Oracles Recovered!

It was not too long ago that the Oracles of Nyx, Aitana and Asarelah, were kidnapped mysteriously and vanished from our sight for a nerve severing two weeks! The phenomenon left a dent in our will and sent the guild into a mad search for our leaders. The only clues Nyxians had to work off of were lost pages from Partedhair’s Journal. As plots developed, Nyx learned that senior member Partedhair was actually under the affects of mind control via a device implanted upon his cloak. Many were curious as to how Partedhair’s naturally broken orchish was suddenly replaced by refined, intellectual speech, and it was thus resolved that the culprit behind these events was a Dranei Shaman named Vehal, along with his cohort, a Night Elf Druid named Silvanea. For weeks, members pursued Partedhair, trying to find clues as to where the Oracles were being kept. Cryptic messages assuming that death would soon come to the Oracles led the Nyxians to a large scale search and delightedly, the Oracles were found safely at the stairs of Zul’Aman.

One of our correspondents, Ianodil, interviewed Oracle Aitana Tallbear after the rescue, and asked her about her time in captivity…

Ianodil pulled open a chair in the Ratchet Inn and motioned for the Elder to take a seat as a warm beverage awaited her on the table. Nyxian bodyguards stood vigilantly at the entrance of the inn and near the table, as others waited in shadows watching the surrounding areas. Ianodil took a seat, created a page of mage-paper and a pen, placed it on the table, then looked up at Aitana with a smile…

Ianodil: I must say, I am very pleased to see you with us again. The tribe was a little lost without its leaders. Ianodil looked behind him and noted all the guards standing by. How are you getting used to the armed escort everywhere you go?

Aitana: Well, they do keep me company, but are highly unnecessary. We Oracles may be wizened but we could also teach you sprouts a thing or two. Aitana pokes the table forcefully while smiling. But I understand how they feel. Ascending to these ranks makes us prime targets for war, so we take these roles knowing the peril. But also know that we are ever so thankful for the rescue our Nyxians achieved. For a time, we didn’t even know what was going to happen to us…

Ianodil: Ianodil nodded while jotting something down. Yes, yes… quite the event. So, do you recall how you in particular became a captive?

Aitana: Well… Aitana took a sip of her beverage and then leaned in with her hand covering the side of her mouth as if she were to whisper something. Ianodil also leaned in with his eyes widened. The guards tried to lean in to listen, but Aitana shooed them back. I adore herbs… I absolutely LOVE them. If there are herbs around, I simply cannot resist gathering them. Ianodil nodded while taking in the information. Many of the other Tauren share this fascination, so we are members of an herb enthusiast society. Aitana pulled out a card and slid it over to Ianodil’s side of the table.

Ianodil:  Ianodil curiously looms over the card and studies it. He noted the words in green lettering, “ The Green People. “ Ianodil raises a brow while looking at the Elder. Aitana then recalls the card back into her sleeve. I see… Herb enthusiasts… Ianodil makes a notes.

Aitana: So… another individual contacted me with some very interesting information. Partedhair sent me a message telling be about how the Goblins over at the Sludgefen in the Barrens had developed new technology that could house herbs indoors. Aitana smiled broadly and continued. I was so ecstatic! Quickly her smile turned to a frown. However… it turned into a horrible situation.

Ianodil: Oh my… go on.

Aitana: I met Partedhair in Orgrimmar and he gave me a ride in his motorbike to the see this goblin creation. We reached the Boulder Lode Mine and had to fight our way to the bottom. The whole time… he spoke so… out of character. Much to my surprise, there was nothing of the sort there. I was very confused. I asked Partedhair to explain himself. He started a long speach about crimes against the Alliance. This was not the Partedhair I knew. He pulled out a gun and told me he was going to use a tranquilizer dart on me and take me somewhere to be executed for some crimes I never committed. I did all I could to try to escape, but it was no use. And then, before I knew I felt a sharp pain in my neck. Parted had turned and shot a tranquilizer at me. As I fell to the ground, I heard him muttering some things about our doom, and then everything went black.

Ianodil looked up in astonishment: By the Old Gods… What happened next?

Aitana took a sip of her tea: Well… I awoke next to Asarelah as we were both bound to a pillar on the Stairs of Zul’Aman. We tried to understand the situation at hand, but they had used magic to silence us and keep us under their control. Then, from the shadows came a Dranei and a Night Elf. They came up to each of us individually and began to say horrible things. Aitana looked off in the distance, clearly distressed at the memories. They said things like, “The hour of your demise is soon…” and other ranting.

Ianodil seemed a bit taken back by the whole experience and smiles at Aitana for support.

Aitana smiled: However…before we knew it you all came riding gallantly in to rescue us… I tell you Ianodil… Our hearts were warmed by our Nyxians dedication. Her eyes got misty and a tears rolled down her face. If only I could let all of them know how happy I was to see them. Aitana then straightens up and sniffs, wiping away her tears. But you all did your duty. Lady Nyx would be proud.

Ianodil rolled up the parchment and put it into one of his bags: Well, Oracle, I must say it is very good to have you with us again… It was astonishing how lost we were without you two. Yet, we must also decorate the leaders who took initiative to organize things and find you all.

Aitana: Yes, and it provides me with security knowing that our Nyxians can hold their own in times of difficulty. Aitana smiled then stood up.

Ianodil stood up: Well, thank you ever so much for your time Oracle, and it is a wonder to have you back with us again… Ianodil reached out with a hand for a shake.

Aitana walked passed his hand and gave him a warm hug instead: And it is good to be back… The guards rush to Ianodil with blades ready, but Aitana angrily looks up and shouts. Oh back away! I’m just giving him a hug! The guards recede with their heads hanging. Aitana then smiles at Ianodil. Goodnight sprout.

Uncle Warzen Needs YOU!

Warzen Zenatine Stonefield

Warzen Zenatine Stonefield

The Dark Lady’s raiders have met dire straits as of late. Hristoforos, Night Warder and Commander of the Ward of Trials, has taken an important leave of absence to correspond with duties in far off lands. In his stead, three generals, Warzen, Op and Filarius, have taken the responsibility over the Ward in his place. The Murmur sent one of our more… brusque correspondents to tackle an interview with Nyx’s cannibalistic poster child, Warzen, in order to ascertain what the Ward of Trials is in need of to carry out top priority missions against the Lich King’s citadel. This is what we procured…

Ianodil sauntered into the Apothecarium of Undercity to meet up with his interviewee, Warzen, and finds him in a small niche in the laboratory, chewing on something: “Ah… so you are the infamous Warzen hmm?

Warzen stares at Ianodil while munching on what appears to be the arm of a human: “Maybe…

Ianodil growed a scowl out of disgust: “Yes… Well… I have come representing the Murmur, in hopes of acquiring information. In short, what is the Ward of Trials… in need of?” He continued to watch in disgust as Warzen casually grazed on the limb.

Warzen answered back with a mouth full of flesh: “Less pink skins… less cows… Need to make room for the Forsaken Brotherhood.

Ianodil twitched out of lack of comfort: “Well… Okay. Let us say we were all Forsaken then. What would you suggest in that animus?

Warzen: “Well… we need more straight fighter types… You know, hard heads who can swing a sword with finesse… and beat humans in the face.

Ianodil noticed the progress and continues: “I see…

Warzen: “And two more thinkers who can order a battalion around decent like; even if it’s an obvious death sentence.

Ianodil: “So… more melee damage dealers and two capable raid leaders?

Warzen burped as hot flesh smelling reek permeated Ianodil’s face: “Yup’… Face beaters… leaders… Oh! And fat boys!

Ianodil was wiping the mucus and flesh matter off of his brow while on the verge of having a meltdown: “Fat… boys?

Warzen: “Hearty guys… you know, tanks?

Ianodil: “Oh of course…

Warzen: “Oh!” Warzen raised his limb dinner in the air out of agitation. “Bring your own damn potions, flasks, elixirs and gold for repair bills! This ain’t no charity!

Ianodil: “Heh… you speak some sense… I commend self sufficiency.

Warzen: “Yeah, yeah… Bring those AND make sure you have the time to stick it out all the way… Did I mention bring consumables? Well yeah… DO IT!” *He proceeded to take an aggravated crunch out of his limb.

Ianodil: “Well… that sounds sufficient. Thank you for your time Night Warder. I’ll make sure to inform the masses of this.

Warzen grunted: “Want some Troll Tusk Soup?

Ianodil peered at Warzen as a maelstrom develops in his bowels: “……………. No.

Warzen: “How about some excrement brownies?

Ianodil ran away… far, far away concluding the interview.

In short… THE WARD OF TRIALS NEEDS:
1. Two more capable raid leaders!
2. Tanks!
3. Melee DPS!
4. People who make time to STICK IT OUT ALL THE WAY!
5. Bring your own potions/flasks/elixirs and GOLD for repair bills!

Go to the guild hall to register your time schedule and class.

Interested parties can also apply for a Raid Leader position in the guild hall.

An Unrivaled Tenacity: Glory to Growth and Nourishment!

A three week long struggle ensued as our very own Ward of Growth and Nourishment faced Kil’jaeden the Deceiver.

Fighting Kil'Jaeden

This achievement was inimitable however, because it was a GUILD FIRST! The Dark Lady knew that Kil’jaeden’s evil encroached upon her dynasty since his first intervention in Azeroth, so, in the Lady’s name, proud banners of the Horde and Nyx were taken up by her own legion, destroying her enemy even in her absence. What a proud moment it was as the banners were lodged in the floor of the Sunwell, gleaming with the gloss of felblood and the radiant glow of the newly reactivated Sunwell.

To Look in the Face of Death, and Smile…

Another grand feat was attained by our brethren, as a merciless cell of Nyxian raiders and fellow Horde allies donning the banner of the “The Enforcer” infiltrated the kingdom of the Lich King, and battled their way to his very throne. They all took a moment to reconcile with the status of their situation, as memories of the Lich King’s tyranny besieged their consciousness. Hearts hardened as the razor sharp Icecrown winds whistled atop their vestments. As the brave few stood before him, they remembered everything… all the loved ones lost… all the missions completed… all the devious plots quelled… and as certain as they all felt, Filarius stated the thought on everyone’s mind as he clenched his weapon in hand, “At the end of all things.”

A Caliginous Elegance: Stodesgier the Umbral Champion

A new face illuminates the halls of the Lady’s chosen champions, as the acceptance of Felmage Stodesgier Damonisch, Umbral Champion of the Ward of War, was constituted days ago. This tactile caster is recognized as a demon on the battlefield for his deadly malice, as he reaps his enemies and takes the liberty of relinquishing them of their souls. One may also recognize him as the Champion of the Horde, recalling when he earned the title in a tourney amongst our Horde peers not too long ago. Stodesgier promises to vanquish the Lady’s foes, stating “My shadows serve only the dark lady… ” and in turn brings great promise to future of the Ward of War. I pray for any fool that wrongs “The Fel Rose of the Twisting Nether”, for afterward you may find yourself convulsing as his favored minion Vilora strangles you with her whip, and the last image you see are of his beguiling eyes as he siphons your soul.

Our Legion has awaited the return of our Dark Lady for a time now. As earth tremors shake the foundations of our fears, we look to our druids for answers as Lady Nyx scours the planes seeking remedy. UNDER CONSTRUCTION! [Taurahe]: Moo!

The Nyxian Gazette has just recently come under new management!

Unfortunately, new management is rather unhappy with the current conditions of the office it was given.  Seeing as a pink skin blood elf used to be running the place (and decorating, too!) management has made a very tough, but important call: Time to toss all these flashy knick-knacks and over-expensive elfie stuff, and bring in the wigwams and butt-flaps!

Remodeling is underway, and a new and improved gazette will be posted post-haste the moment all of the dust settles, and when management can get all of those pesky self-sweeping brooms to stop messing up the ceremonial pelts to messing things up again.

One employee, who wishes to remain anonymous, had suggested that “The only way to rid the place of the “stench”, was ‘Purification by Fire'”

With that said, it is a good time to mention that the Gazette also now needs to fill a….  Recently-vacated position as “Gazette Contributor”

Employment Opportunities:

Do you have any special talents?  When you look at scrolls, can you actually understand what they say?  Do your friends call you funny?  (No, not your imaginary ones)  Are you good at hoofrubs?  If your answer is “Yes” to any of the following questions (especially the one about hoofrubs!) then, the Gazette might be the place for you!  Please send any and all inquiries for employment to the new Head Top High-Ruler President Magistrate Queen Shayla Roseblossom for review!

Thank you for reading!

Nyx Gazette XVIII

Nyx Gazette

Issue XVIII

Welcome to the eighteenth edition of the Nyx Gazette! I woud like to apologize for the lateness of this week’s Gazette. Reports and work in Silvermoon has kept me far more occupied than expected, but rest assured that next week’s issue will arrive on proper schedule, and with more substance than the brevity of this week’s edition carries.. For now, I present to you this week’s Gazette. Next will see the return of The Field Report as well, cut this week due to a number of matters currently in flux. And remember, dear readers, the Gazette still seeks submissions from all of you, as well as a subject for the Spotlight article!

Danger in Azeroth: of Dragons and Trees

The Danger in Azeroth portion of the Gazette brings you the results of recent Nyx outings into the world of Azeroth and it’s many dungeons,, ruins, caverns, and mazes, as well as updates on ongoing excursions and plans for upcoming ones. Readers are encouraged to submit their accounts and captured images.

As mentioned last week, recently there have been many excursions into the various dragon controlled territories of Azeroth. Onyxia’s Lair, the Obsidian Sanctum, and the Eye of Eternity were all raided by the groups led by Nyx, but were unfortunately met with mixed success. Regardless, much was learned in these encounters, and Nyx will continue to press on as always until these challenges are overcome. Please speak to the various leaders in charge of these efforts, and join us as the battles continue on.

Once more, the Argent Tournament continues onward, and now Tribe Nyx is once more showing the Alliance how things are properly done in Northrend. Members of Tribe Nyx are once more making forays into the Crusader’s Coliseum for the Argent Crusade’s Trial of the Crusader challenge. An account of the most recent attempt can be found in a recent release by Ezraella here http://thenyx.org/?p=252 . Suffice to say, we should be proud of our fellow Nyxians for their perseverance and eventual prevalence, making new headway into the Trail that Nyx has never made before.

In the rest of this week, continued trips are planned back into Onyxia’s Lair, as well as the continued efforts in the trial of the Crusader and in Ulduar, where with every passing day we come yet closer to the defeat of Yogg-Saron. It is only a matter of time now, so stay strong, Nyx!

The Home Front: Love Continues to Spread

As announced in our last edition, a Jousting event was held last week on the argent Tournament grounds, a friendly get together between the members of tribe Nyx as well as friends from within the Horde. The event was put on by Amyia, who also served as the Master of Ceremonies for the event, and refreshments were provided by Stichenn and our own Oracle, Aitana.

Much fun was had by all, and some very hard battle were fought on the backs our tamed beasts. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured or trampled as the night went on, and ultimately it was Nyx’s very own Leothiel Frosthawk who came out on top, winning a prize consisting of gold and prestige both among Nyx and among the Horde. Congratulations, Leo! We all should look forward to the next friendly gathering, and I do hope Amyia can follow up the jousting tournament with something just as exciting in the future.

Last week, I brought you all news of the marriage of Leothiel and Oneille Frosthawk, and this week have yet another very special announcement to make: This Saturday, at 7pm, the love continues to spread through Nyx as our own Wiindriider and Partedhair are to be wed! A loction has not been decided, and likely won’t be available until the eleventh hour, but I encourage absolutely everyone who can to keep an ear out and attend if they are able. If you see either of the happy couple in the mean time, be sure to pass on your well wishes and words of wisdom!

Spotlight!

Welcome to Spotlight, a section that presents a small article on one of our esteemed members of Nyx, so that you may get to know your tribesman all the better!

We are still looking for our first volunteer for the Gazette’s Spotlight feature. If you are interested in having a short biography printed and possibly an interview conducted, please inform me as soon as possible so that matters may be properly arranged.

Additionally, we are searching for short accounts and submissions from our readers, of the week’s occurrences as well short stories and gnomish image captures of the notable events of the past week. These are very much needed to help spice up the gazette and give it more of a community driven feel. Please see below for more information.

Any comments, Concerns, Errors and Omissions  can be shared in this week’s Gazette Thread, found here.

An unfortunate turn of events

During an honourable run of Trials of the Crusader, ten people stepped forth to expunge Alliance dogs from the arena. However, one tree, shown above, decided to greet our new found friends… We did not realize, however, that the Alliance were all a bunch of tree-huggers. Quickly did they move forward to greet the tree and she got crushed be the overwhelming size of the Alliance boomkin. Suffice to say, we shall never again send our tree forth to do as such again.

However, the group prevailed against all odds and destroyed the Alliance dogs, a first for our glorious family! Congratulations!

Nyx Gazette XVII

Welcome!

Indeed, welcome readers to the seventeenth edition of the Nyx Gazette. It’s been some time since the last issue was published, but I’m glad to see that everyone has returned to see the return of our wonderful news service. With this new edition, a new editor rises to take the reigns. While I am not privy as to what led the former editor to step down, it’s not of any concern, and I do hope all of his faithful readers will stick around.

For those curious, I am Kaylina Ashsaber, and I will be taking over the Gazette for the foreseeable future, tasked with reporting important occurrences to my esteemed guildmates much like I already do the arcanists of Silvermoon. I believe it a natural fit and am honored to find myself in this position. I hope I can live up to the previous editor, and I hope everyone enjoys what is to come.

Field Report: Nyx Brings The Fight To The Alliance

The first segment of this week’s Gazette is The Field Report. Stories from our battles against the Alliance and chronicles of our war efforts are contained within. All readers are encouraged to send in their accounts and images, as they may very well find a place among The Field Report!

The revered head of our Ward of War, Leothiel, has been making a considerable effort in the fight against the Alliance, as always. Leading us as we storm their battlegrounds and take what should rightfully be ours is just a small part of what our Ward of War does, but it has certainly been the most prominent in the past week. Both organized excursions and impromptu forays into the battlegrounds have been the order of the week, and not limited to just the Ward of War. May have joined the fight, and I hope they will continue to do so in the future.

Battlegrounds aren’t the only place battle occurs. All over Azeroth, Nyx continues to battle the Alliance, and even now I receive word of two recent skirmishes. Our own Ishar took the fight to the Kingship of the East himself, interrupting what reportedly was a party they were putting on that evening. The Kingship of the East responded as they always do, thirty to our one, but quick thinking and planning got Nyx out what could have possibly been a bad situation.

Retaliation eventually brought them to the Orcish capitol of Orgrimmar, but Nyx lay in wait along with several other guilds of the Horde, and under the expert guidance of Ishar the Alliance was routed and scattered. Perhaps next time, they will think twice before replying with force.

Danger in Azeroth: Progress and Preperations

The Danger in Azeroth portion of the Gazette brings you the results of recent Nyx outings into the world of Azeroth and it’s many dungeons,, ruins, caverns, and mazes, as well as updates on ongoing excursions and plans for upcoming ones. As with The Field Report, readers are encouraged to submit their accounts and captured images.

For some time, Nyx has been fighting to make headway into the halls of Ulduar, determined to put an end to the evil that has steeped itself so well within those ancient halls, and now at long last we stand on the precipice of putting an end to it at last. The ancient evil known as Yogg Saron is all that stands between Nyx’s expeditions and cleansing Ulduar once and for all. This very evening, Filarius led another brave collective of Nyxians into the stone halls, ready to do battle. While they were unsuccessful in banishing the Old God from the realm, they have made notable progress, an we can only hope that soon they will succeed in their task. Send them your cheets, Nyxians. They will need it.

While one expedition makes it’s way through Ulduar, the Ward of Trials continues to make ventures into other regions of Azeroth. In the coming week, being affectionately referred to by some as “Dragon Week”, two new trials are being held. Whispers have surfaced of activity in the cavern belonging to the Black Dragon known as Onyxia, and as one group prepares to investigate, another readies itself for another mission into the Obsidian Dragonshrine, held in the Chamber of Aspects beneath Wyrmrest Temple. We wish both groups the best of luck, and hope they are able to survive mostly unsinged.

Elsewhere in Northrend, the Argent Tournament marches forward. Despite disparaging remarks from the King of Stormwind, Varian Wyrnn (may his sharp tongue be quickly dulled by Lady Proudmoore), all matters of the tournament continue to function smoothly, with the “savage” Horde standing in the spotlight as the “civilized” Alliance taunts and mocks our success. Battles in the Crusader’s Coliseum have been going splendidly, and as more of Nyx’s ranks rise to be Champions of their homes and of the Horde, we await the inevitable call to battle from the Argent Crusade, the inevitable foray into Icecrown Citadel and battle with the Lich King himself…

And finally, Hallow’s End has now come and gone. The Headless Horseman brought chaos to several of the Horde’s cities across Azeroth, and to him we bring our blades and fire. Many Nyxians  made their way to Scarlet Monastery to try and deal with the menace themselves. All things said and done, the Horseman’s made crusade finally was put to an end… at least for now. A restless spirit is truly hard to put down, and the Horseman had these words to say as he was banished once more:

“Perhaps my time here now is done, but don’t dare think the battle won! Though for now my spirit rests, you have not yet passed my tests. I will return, this I assure. And when I do, once more my righteous might you will endure! AAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!”

Ominous words indeed, and I do somehow doubt this will be the last time we have seen the former Sir Thomas…

With the end of Hallow’s End comes the short holiday known colloquially as the Day of the Dead, favoured quite expectedly by the Forsaken themselves. It is a short set of festivities, so do be sure you find your way to your local graveyard, as a surprise may await. The festival ends tomorrow, however, so don’t wait!

Coming Soon: A Blessed Union Occurs, And Friendly Battles Await

Yesterday, something wonderful happened among the ranks of Nyx, Just yesterday, our Nightwarder of War, Leothiel Frosthawk and his betrothed Oneille Brightgrove were wed. The ceremony was held in the amphitheatre in in Duskwither Grounds, east of Silvermoon City. Numerous members of the Horde were in attendance, from Nyx as well as other tribes of the Horde. It was a truly wonderful ceremony, with both the bride and groom looking their best.

Following the wedding, fireworks and celebration were held in the same grounds, and all who were unable to attend truly missed out. We wish Leothiel and Oneille Frosthawk our best, and hope they prosper in these times.

This coming week sees a new kind of gathering for Tribe Nyx. Many are familiar with the earlier mentioned Argent Tournament, and the ousting that ensues on it’s grounds, but now Nyx is taking the jousting grounds to themselves for an evening, and holding a jousting tournament for all to see! There will be prizes and friendly competition, and all are invited to participate. If you would like to sign up in advance for a place in the tournament, be sure to attune your hearthstone and speak with Amyia as soon as possible. The tournament will occur this Wednesday, currently scheduled to happen around 8:30. Don’t be late!

Greetings and Welcome!

In recent days we’ve had an influx of new members to Tribe Nyx, and while I have not had the opportunity to speak with them all, I would like to take a moment to welcome Damian, Velocitus, and Foulheart to Nyx, among many others who have joined us in the past few weeks. We hope you feel welcome in our community, and we wish you much luck in your endeavors!

Announcements!

I would like to take a moment to congratulate Wiindriider on her promotion to Umbral Champion. It was well earned, and I’m sure we all look forward to her further work with the Ward of Growth and Nourishment. An account of her promotion can be found on the forums at http://thenyx.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=3274&start=10, and I do hope everyone will congratulate her the next time they see her! It’s been a lot of hard work, and she certainly deserves it!

Submissions:

As noted several times, submissions are both welcome and encouraged! If you have something you wish to submit, please feel free to private message it to me on the forums, or email it to me at neograyfox at gmail dot com. Just don’t use in game mail, I might have an aneurysm copying what you send me over :p. I look forward to seeing everyone’s contributions, and only as a community can we make this gazette thrive!

Currently, the gazette is looking for short IC accounts of occurrences and events over the week (a sentence or two at best), as well as short stories and subjects for spotlight articles. Also needed are pictures to accompany articles. Please, I fyou have submissions, or are interested in being a spotlight, let me know!

Into the Trials

Only days ago, an invitation reached the hands of Nyx’s esteemed Oracles. It read,

Dear followers of Lady Nyx,
I am Magister Edien Sunhollow, representative of the Sunreavers in the Argent Crusade. As of late, word has been getting out about your efforts within the dark reaches of Ulduar. The Argent Tournament would like to congratulate you on your ongoing efforts to stop the ancient evil within in the unforgiving titan realm. With that said, and knowing the strength of Nyx’s members, we would like to offer you and the finest of Nyx an invite to compete in the Argent Tournament.
If you choose to accept, your fight is scheduled to begin on this Friday, at Midnight. You will be given a half-hour to prepare.
All of us in the Argent Tournament and those of the Sunreavers hope you will accept this offer and take up the challenge laid before you.
Sincerely,
Magister Edien Sunhollow.

It did not take long for the leaders of Nyx to come to a conclusion. They gladly accepted the offer to represent the Horde in the prestigious event.
Those who took up the challenge:
Aitana-Princess of heals
Bularu-Master of tamed beast
Durall-Death from the pits of hell
Hristoforos-Master of Shadow
Op-Death unwilling to die again
Raphusm-Warrior sent By the Gods
Rekeme-Protector of the spirit totems
Soladanus-God of Light
Tasera-Huntress cursed wit da VooDoo
Uhra-Leader of the Shaman Gods

As the night went underway, much blood was shed. Yet, the followers of the Dark Lady did not give up for a single moment.

The Battle of the Beasts was first. The creatures before them fought with an unforgiving ferocity. They fought Gormok the Impaler. They also confronted not one but TWO jormungars, and lastly, a giant yeti known as Icehowl. All three fell to the combatants might.

The second fight was then laid before them. A massive eredar demon known as Lord Jaraxxus went forth to fight them. Eventually those of Nyx were able to destroy him with swift blows.

Tonight the raiders of Nyx will continue the fight and hopefully overcome any challenge that the tournament presents them with.

A message to the “Kingship”

A few days go, as the skirmishes between Kingship and Nyx escalate, Lady Nyx finally appears. Using Oracle Tomoyo as the body to present the message, she announced this for all of Azeroth to hear,

“Hear this, so-called Kingship, for this one before you is an Oracle of the Lady Nyx, and an instrument of my will on this world of Azeroth

Thy insult to our self has gone on for far too long. I rebuke you, I rebuke your followers, and I rebuke your “terms” as the pathetic yapping of a contemptuous foe that they are, and as making the scrap of paper they were written on worth less than if it had been blank. Azeroth will run red with the blood of those who stand in our way, and none, not the least your petty self proclaimed king and your hordes of unwashed, mindless slaves, shall hold back our wrath. Rise up, my champions, and let loose the dogs of war. We shall swoop down on them, and we shall show no mercy, until this stain upon our honor is reduced to a mere bloodstain on our blades!

To our Brothers and Sisters of the Horde Assembly, we invite you to join us in this glorious slaughter. Not their men nor their women nor their children shall we spared our righteous vindication. No longer shall we suffer this indignation. The so-called Kingship seeks to divide and conquer, to force all those who would dare to stand against him to capitulate. They understand not honor, nor true friendship, comradeship and loyalty. This Kingship underestimates the conviction and pride that dwells in all our hearts, but we will show them, mark our words, we shall show them. They will know us, and they will fear us, and when they lie bloodied and broken at our feet, we shall not even grace them with our spittle, for that would imply that they were worthy of our disgust. This is not revenge, this is not anger. This is pest extermination. They are but a plague of rodents, and this is a plague on our Azeroth that must not and shall not be permitted to exist any longer.

Heroes of the Horde, we must purge this plague. Blame not the misguided followers of the foul king, they have merely fallen under his thrall. But let that not stay your blade, for they have fallen beyond redemption, their minds long since poisoned by this silver-tongued false king and his delusions of a kingdom of a thousand years. The greatest mercy we can give them all is a quick death. May the light have mercy on their souls, for our Warlocks shall not.”

-Tasera of the Shatterspear Tribe
Umbral Champion of Lore.

For tonight… We fight…!

I quote a passage from our esteemed Oracle, Aitana:

“Even if you are right, Nightwarder, they still have to answer for this. The attempt was done under their banner. I do believe that the messenger was telling the truth as she believed it to be true. That does not mean that she was right. If nothing else we MUST watch the activities of the Al’shar. You seem to have forgotten that weapon I recovered off that dwarf’s body. It has the same ‘feel’ as that artifact that we destroyed. There is evil afoot.”

…Tonight, we strike back to those that would harm us. Tonight, they will know the ferocity and commitment of those of us that would call ourselves Nyx. Tonight… We will celebrate a victory!
